Hi,
I am from Shopawl.com and we are considering a signature campaign for our website. Basically Shopawl is online store that accept bitcoins and altcoins. If you haven't checked do check right now: https://shopawl.com. We deliver world wide at cheapest shipping rates. Smiley

So what do you think should we run a campaign? is it worth to run?

Not sure if ecommerce is ready for signature campaign though unless if your products are sort of an online products and can be useful for websites and for webmasters.

how exactly does it works? it does look like shopawl.com is just a search engine and banggood.com is the store.

No its not search engine, basically you select products from Banggood.com and submit them at Shopawl.com to place an order using Bitcoins or any altcoin.

I am locking this thread, it gained enough replies to make us a decision.

Just one thing, campaign is worth as much as it last. Only longer then couple months can make big difference, time is needed something to get to people.
Try to create campaign that will last,  and after some time results will be visible. Many campaigns are example how much benefits there is for some site afrer advertising here.

Yes it is worth running. It is much much cheaper then paying for hits/views or clicks. The click through rate is higher. For example. Just because you made this thread I clicked your link and I am now browsing your site.

It's a good opportunity to promote your site and engaje more people.  Wink

I think it is the most effective method to promote the site. Even if the budget is low you can start a campaign that pays low but accepts all members.
It will give chance to Jr. Members and members also and OP can advertise in less money.

You need to be using multiple business marketing strategies to get good results. You need to wait over a longer time than you think in mind. Try google adwords. Offer bloggers direct bounty to display your ad.

I'm not so sure a shopping site would get the results you were looking for. Yes to mixing, gambling and alts as they're core uses. People are far more reluctant to buy products with Bitcoin.

If you did want to make a go of it you'd need to commit to a set amount of time and use a proven manager/escrow. Considering how many campaigns have flaked out recently a lot of people would be reluctant to switch if they're already in a functional campaign.

i would avoid starting a big signature campaign. you will be best starting a very small and not pay big rates, you would give them ref links for social media and you'd have to run all this on your own to save on some expenditure because campaign managers cost alot of money. something like 10% of the total to pay people.

Signature campaign require huge cost and it will received some benefit if you're running for a long time, not for a short time !
So you can try to helding fixed campaign with less cost or pay per post scheme for better exposure but required more cost than fixed one

I guess you read the thread about shop advertising at Bitcointalk. I would really like to see Shopawl starting a signature campaign. And do remember to tell me if you do decided to start a signature campaign. Smiley.

Just do note that nobody (from my knowledge) ever started a signature campaign on Bitcointalk about eShop. Hence the result might be different from others signature campaign.

Since your online shopping portal deals with bitcoins and this is a number 1 bitcoin forum, it would definitely be useful. Also, there are very few shopping portals that accept bitcoins these days and it would give your website a great exposure. I would suggest that you appoint a campaign manager if you plan to have a signature campaign who could manage your campaign and employ deserving participants.

I voted yes, even though I am not interested in joining signature campaigns I know that they are the best way to advertise on this forum, it's much more effective than those adverts that are actually run by the forum itself.

I think you should dont mind asking us about this thing op,  if you can sustain paying the participants  in your signature campaign then you should start doing it. Some of us in this forum will surely benefits  from it

Without hiring or launching a signature campaign your site is now at least known because of this thread, you have site visitors because of this and no need to pay anyone. What more if you start that signature campaign, you'll have more visitors.

I also voted for yes like the majority of other users. Yes it is worth to run and thats why many websites related to bitcoin are already running signature campaigns here in the bitcointalk forum and i am sure they are getting promotion thats why they are lasting long.
I think it is a good investment to promote your site here to reach maximum number of users because most of the bitcoin users are here in this forum.

for those who have many bitcointalk accounts, they will vote "yes", so they can earn more bitcoin in short time. just post there, there, even the post isn't constructive, and voila, they have money. actually I'm trying to do that, but I don't have chance now.

but for those who really care to this forum, go to this forum not just to earn bitcoin, or those who already took a long te here, I think they will vote " no" because there are too many spammers here, and the forum is getting narrow.
So what you're saying is that if I say "yes" to this then I'm a spammer and if want to prove that I'm not a spammer, then I should "no" to this. Nice logic (lol).

Upon checking OP's website, you can conclude that his website isn't actually a "store" like he said. His website just wants you to buy from BangGood.com which I've never heard before. You have to copy+paste the link of the item you want to buy into OP's website. I guess this is some kind of affiliate then or maybe OP's website is shady that would ask you to give your credit card details, etc.

I can't conclude anything at this point yet because I haven't done any further investigations. Nevertheless, Shopawl isn't an online store.

If you use signature campaign to advertise your site i think you will get two things you will get backlinks plus you will be popular here in our forum..
But the problem you will need a large amount for advertise in signature campaign..
There is other way you can ask for admin to advertise directly to this forum. without signature campaign they are asking for your banner..
and the advantage of this advertise is they can see your banner in any thread.. but no backlinks..
I think its the best if you choose that two..

This was also the reason why do i want them to verify first if they are earning their profits too much, so that they can have a capital for their signature campaign because it is really that costly

For sure your site is going to get a lot of visitors and good clients at all. Advertising your site is going to attract a lot of visitors and even customers at all. Just pick a good campaign manager and of course don't choose those participants that are just going to spam all over the forum so that your reputation is not going to fall.
