So, here's the deal. I've been into crypto gambling, and I've realized that, despite my best intentions, it's a bit tough to control the urge. I've tried the self-exclusion route in the past, but it seems some crypto casinos still find a way to let me back in.

I know I've got an issue, and I've accepted that. Now, my goal is to manage it better and avoid any unnecessary damage to my finances.

I'm curious if any of you have faced a similar situation and if there are tools or methods you've found effective in controlling crypto gambling. It feels like most platforms lack daily limits or deposit controls, making it a bit challenging to stay on track.

Would really appreciate any advice or recommendations from those who've been through something similar.

Addiction to gambling is one thing but admitting that you're addicted is another. Yes, gambling can be a really addictive behavior and it's hard to break the cycle once you're in it but the good thing here is that you've admit your addiction and want to break free from it. But I'm still finding it hard to understand the part I bolded in your statement. How do you mean some crypto casinos still find a way to let you back? Well it doesn't matter thou but I'm curious.

Like I always believed and repeat often, controlling your gambling addiction is your own sole responsibility. Our advice and recommendations has little impact. The moment you realize that the power to break from addiction is absolutely in your control, you'll definitely do it. I know it's very hard to do but you must discipline yourself.

Reading thousands of suggestions without discipline to practice will be fruitless. Regardless, I will like to recommend something called the SMART Recovery program. It's a self-help program that is designed to help people deal with all kinds of addiction including gambling. The SMART Recovery program is a relatively new approach to addiction recovery but it's been shown to be effective for many people. Here's the link to the website. It might be helpful if you can practice it.

I'm glad there are people who admit to having a gambling problem. You are a great person, most people don't dare to admit that they are addicted to gambling.

Maybe I have experienced almost the same thing before. I spent my savings on gambling, luckily I soon realized my mistake. In the beginning it was very difficult to get out of the gambling cycle, especially when there was money in my bank account or crypto wallet

I started limiting myself, one way that worked for me was withdrawing my money from my bank account. I don't have any money left in my bank account so when I want to gamble I can't make a deposit on an online gambling site

The problem with responsible gambling features is that you always find another casino where you can gamble. Many casinos do not have them, and in the end, the only thing you are left with is the self control to stop gambling and better if you seek professional help, as suggested by yahoo62278.

It is like the alcoholic who is rehabilitated. The solution is not to put a barrier in every bar or in every supermarket so that he can not enter and buy alcohol, the solution is within oneself, to quit for good and in the vast majority of cases, if not all, with professional help.

Care to explain how they lured you back to playing?

For the highroller or decent players, some casino sometimes will offers special bonuses which could be free or a decent bonus on their next deposit after the user inactive for a while.
The owner or the manager usually will handle it directly, so the user feel so special on that site.

For the OP, the only ultimate tool to stop degen is in your mind - nothing else.
Gamble for fun, do not gamble your life.

All control and management of finances and gambling activities carried out by gamblers can never be helped by any tool or anyone because the only person who can control all of this is the gambler himself.
If you want to be able to control all the aspects that can make you worse when gambling then you yourself have to control all your financial and emotional aspects of gambling.
You have to learn from the start to slowly start limiting finances and time so that in the future will get used to it and can always be bound by the limits you have.

This is not the first time question like this has been here but you need to change your own way of gambling in the future.
There will be no one who can help you get out of a problem like this because we can only give suggestions and advice here the rest is for you to act and try to learn to control it.

There are many gamblers who experience problems like this and they are unable to make efforts from the start by limiting finances and controlling emotions when gambling.
So the first thing you need to learn is how to manage your finances by having limits on betting capital and time for gambling.

What you are referring is signs of addiction which definitely need a medical expert's help or a support group to get over it. As a start, you can share the issue with your family so that you they will be aware of what you are going through and it helps if things gets out of your hands at any point.

Also, you should be confident with your decision, simply you want to stop gambling but you are actions are the exact opposite then there is no use in it.

Many platforms only care about making money so they don't care about helping gamblers in controlling unhealthy habits. Expecting them to help you to solve your gambling issues is fruitless.

I have not suffered from gambling disorder but what has helped me to control my gambling activity is my budget. I have a plan that includes how much I will spend as well as how long I will put into gambling for a specific period. And I ensure that I do everything possible to follow the plan. You need a lot of self-discipline to strictly enforce the plan so the first character you should develop is self-control.

the only control is your consciousness. although I enjoy gambling, I limit the funds I can deposit myself. so you have a fixed allocation to play. it's simple but it's difficult to implement in the game.
At first, it was difficult for me when I still played games at the casino very often. but when I bet more often on sports betting, I feel like my self-imposed restrictions can be controlled. Everyone experiences different cases. but what is certain is that the restrictions and control come from you.

If you're not too shy to open up about your problem, consider having a chat with your family. They're likely to be understanding and supportive. Personally, I've had a bout of gambling addiction before, and spending time with friends and family made a big difference. Diversifying your interests and finding new forms of entertainment can help shift your focus away from gambling. It's not about quitting entirely, but giving yourself a break and some space to reflect on your mistakes, and to accept your losses. Acknowledging those losses can prevent you from falling deeper into the cycle of irresponsible gambling. We've got to learn discipline to get back on track as responsible gamblers.

If you know you have a problem, seek professional help. I would also get rid of the internet so I couldn't visit the sites any longer. As long as temptation is there it's going to eat at you til you give in and gamble.

There's not really anything else to say. You will find a way if you really want to gamble IMO.

There’s such tool like this that will help you avoid gambling rather than completely getaway on any form of online access that will lead you to gambling or put your money on a financial manager that will control your expenses. The best way to counter gambling addiction is when you don’t have accessible money whenever you have the urge because it’s very hard to avoid gambling especially when you are alone and you have all resources available to do it.

Have a good social life and busy schedule to fill all your vacant time that you can use for gambling purposes. Relying tool that you are still the one in control on how setup is useless. You need someone to look out for you since addiction can’t be done by self control without a guidance by someone that doesn’t have any influence of gambling addiction.

You know what you need to do but you just don't have the mental strength to implement it. Perhaps reading some guides on how to have that could help you out. If you want the extreme measures then maybe staying offline is the best solution. If you have some business to deal with online then you can delete gambling apps and even social media where casinos advertise.

first of all, if you really want to quit and avoid gambling, learn to commit and strengthen your desire to stop gambling by forcing yourself to only do it a few times a week or month. If you have started learning little by little, you can try to exclude yourself by stopping holding your phone and accessing the internet and then trying to find other activities to divert your mind.
after that, you continue to be committed with the aim of continuing to find something busy without having to sit around thinking about gambling and only this method can help you because it is useless if there is an anti-gambling tool but your desire is still not committed, which means it will be in vain.

it all starts from you yourself to want to be healthier and that the best way for me.

Well, there's no tool for this concern, Only self-discipline and limitations. You are aware of what you've dealing with, it's better to stick to your goals of managing your finances. One thing to prevent you from gambling is to lessen your screen time since as you have said it's all online or Do some outdoor activities that will help you to distract yourself from gambling.

There is so many anti-gambling to S I was there to take care of the gambling addiction. Personally I think the best anti-gambling to his self discipline. Like they said discipline yourself to do what you said you will do and what you said you will not do don't do it. You can use a simple pen and the piece of paper almost pass to track your habit of visiting the internet to gamble. You may even go the extreme by staying away from your phone since it is a trigger for some time.

The gambling will allow you to win and loss in the consecutive way,but you should manage your emotion in the game. The gambling had both the win and loss,So once you win the game. It’s better to wait for the next game, mean while you need to do the gambling withdraw of the funds in the gambling. So you can enjoy some how in the money from the winning. Then back to the gambling with fresh mindset. In order to quit the gambling, the gambler should do the engage of their time in the others sources. So he not think about the gambling at the play time of the gambling. This is the temporary solution for the gambling addiction.

What is the problem exactly? You have bad self-control in gambling or you can't leave gambling?
If the problem is about self-control, it is actually related to your personal characteristics or you nature. If you are still not mature enough, it is difficult to have a good self-control. Moreover, if you have lack knowledge about gambling, it makes the situation be worse. In addition, you probably have too high expectation for your gambling habit.

If you don't want to ruin your financial, you are better to limit your money allocation for gambling. You also need to exercise yourself, know how to control your desire effectively. Another important thing, you need to learn deeply about gambling and its nature. So, you can understand how to view it in the right way.

he should stick to his budget and call it a day if he rekt it early. if you have no self-control, better pause your gambling activities and contemplate on yourself. assess your situation and know the reason why you can't control whenever you are in front of your games. also, address the reason why you seem to be hooked in gambling. maybe, it is the reason why you won't get out of your situation even if your financials are not that enough.

The first advice is for you to come to full term on what and how you want to spend your time and resources while gambling and also you need to make up your mind to quit if you have truly seen that your gambling escapades are beginning to affect your well being because of it gives you unrest then you should probably an oid it in totality.

So trying to quit is not good enough,  because at some point you have to come to terms and make up your mind to walk away regardless of what may come along to try to still keep you hucked.

You can block sites and types of sites on multiple levels.   The router and ISP can block sites, you can operate a pi running a block also and then the pc itself can be used to block sites.
All of that is for casual use, maybe adverts perhaps though most places do classify gambling as an adult type advert and you should be able to opt out of receiving.  That'd leave junk mail, filter using gmail and there are professional filter services possible.  Ultimately for the larger objective it would be mostly down to yourself and any real world help you can get is probably a good idea to remove the underlying reasons for gambling when you dont even really want to at this point.
Addiction therapy is well recognized as a professional service, my take is that you need to actively move in a different direction. Literally go for a serious hike to wear yourself out etc. work more hours might even be useful to reacquire some of the money lost, set yourself objectives in those positive tasks.
