I wonder if bitmain is in trouble for selling all their btc for bch.  Thats gotta hurt.  Plus united states import fees hurting them

Hope they capitulate and go bankrupt. This might be a last desperation attempt to get whatever they can.

A good strategy is to buy solar and buy these miners. Might pay off well. If you got free electric ROI is less than 2 months.

Bitmain waited and waited for another boom to sell these, finally gave up and is now liquidating stock.

There are many buyers regret buying this ASICminer in the past because the profitability decreases too fast.
One of my friends bought D3 past months ago for $1k+ but he's regretting about the profitability and the noise. Since it's not profitable anymore he tried to sell the miner for a cheap price but no one wants to buy this due to negative profitability and noise until he gave this miner to me.

I'm lucky that I have it for free but the problem the noise is too loud that is why I end up to paused the miner and wait someday this miner can be profitable.

Anyway, that price is too cheap but still not worth it to buy.

Makes sense since the profitability on these machines has dropped so much they're basically bricks right now, and you have to pay the hefty shipping costs from China to wherever you live. It's indeed interesting that prices on the L3+ and D3 units have dropped so much, however- I don't recall the last time any full-sized miners were sold for this price direct from Bitmain.

Well, Bitmain really made a bank off from people/companies who bought their ASICs last year for really high prices. I think they made enough money last year to sell the ASICs for real MSRP now Grin Grin Grin

Even Bitmain itself doesn't want those useless bricks Grin

WTF?

$ 39 the price of asic without a power supply.
2 server fans cost 10-20 dollars each.

Tell me please how much does asic without fans cost?  or is it a joke?

1 year ago it cost about 3000 dollars Grin
