Hey guys,

Apologies since I'm late to the game here but hoping someone can help me out. I have a D3 (19.3G) that has been buggy to say the least over the last week.

Question here would be if anyone think the firmware here may help me and what setting may be recommended as a starting point.

Symptoms...
It started with lots of HW errors then turned into 3rd board not showing all the chips (55/60). Thousands of errors happening in a very short timeframe. Sometimes over night that board will go to X's. Reboot used to fix it but then started showing less chips.

What I tried
Latest firmware from Bitmain
Not powering the 3rd board. This worked fine for a few hours then sometime over night the 2nd board went to all X's. Reboot this morning and now the 2nd board is experiencing the same issues I had with the 3rd board showing 55/60 chips.

It ran fine for a couple of weeks but now I've got nothing but headache with it and at $6-$7/day profits I'm really frustrated having paid $1600 for it and made less than $150 so far.

This is the PSU I'm using since I bought this from a guy who claimed it was new off of craigslist. I had to buy my own PSU and this is what he suggested. I have been running the the 1200W on boards 2-3 and the 750W on board 1 and the control board. Both units run well under the max of 1950W between the 2. I power on the 1200W first then the 750W.

Like I said, I'm new so please go easy on me. My concerns are raised because I don't know if it's something "I'm" doing to this or it's just the nature of the D3. Not to mention I have since ordered (from Bitmain) 3 new S9 ASICs. One for end of December and 2 for end of January. 6 month warranty and due to make a good amount but I'm concerned I'll have issues like with the D3. ebay is fetching a good price though so my plan was to unbox 1 S9, run it and if problems I could always dump the other 2 on ebay.

Many thanks to all for your efforts and I appreciate your time.

Blissz I just upgraded my 6 rigs to your new release.   With 12/2 version I went 2 days with absolutely NO HW Errors..   All the sudden all rigs had tons of HW.   Assuming now that new release needs more power for some reason.  I'm going back to 12/2.

Blissz i have a d3 with a board that show xxxxxx error with your fw, with last bitmain fw show 54 asic# instead 60# and work (with a bit lower hashrate compared to other chains)

Why?

I think it is sensitive to a certain voltage setting. Try to increase the voltage of that specific chain if you run it on a quite low voltage

Just cut the two lines and it will fit , that's how i did it.

Thanks for answer!
Which two lines? Middle two?
Yea , two middle ones remove them make the connector flat

he means: file off / cut off the two plastic pieces that stick out a bit

Download:
https://mega.nz/#!j5ISxLxD!qXECQ96BStAeQ0z1wQecZY7eUKVfmYg6PtPivvZAgYQ

Changes 08/12:
- improved stability on some pools (included prohashing)
- fixed pool priority issue after a pool temporary died.
- fixed high frequency settings above 650 Mhz
- increased frequency settings to the boards max physical limits (825Mhz. Don't try this without knowing what you're doing Wink)

happy mining!

While testing the next version I am currently compiling a L3 version for the guys accidentally flashed the d3 firmware on the l3 and bricked their l3.
I changed something that will cause a forced PIC update on the l3 board. Unfortunately I can't test it for you guys, but hopefully it will bring those l3's alive again.

edit: there you go, I hope this helps some of you that bricked their L3's

i have also pool switching and pool problems
..

has anyone the same problem?

It's a known issue that is caused if the first pool you're using is not that stable, but I am currently testing the fix for this. Will be up in a few hours

on every restart i thinking of you hahahaha Cheesy Cheesy

thanks blissz for your work and support!

yesterday i had no active pool and a chain errors too look attachment
in this picture it shows first 2 pools are alive and the 3th is death (but the other device was working on it!) and i have seen there was no pool active (first 2 where aive!) and not mining and it shows the chain errors after few minutes....

How you write the password commands? for me d=64 work
my line looks like this:
a=x11 d=64 p=3.5 w=827 n=d326

and don´t forget, the diff must be power of 2

You pay $3.5 per kWh Huh I read their help and I think it's supposed to be expressed in $ per kWh. However I tried p=0.12 and the electricity cost in their statistics is crap...
No, they have not fix the Power calculation in the pool, so you must multiply with 10-20 i use 12, it´s buggy

Yes, I think I found one:
http://noctua.at/en/products/product-line-industrial/nf-f12-industrialppc-3000-pwm

This one looks quite promising actually. I just ordered some (they are not cheap!) and I'll give them a try over the weekend...

Did you buy some kind of electrical adapter to plug it in?
I'll try to connect 2 Noctua NF-F12 PWM to D3 but they don't starting.

I did change Fan Mode to Auto Default and plug it in and nothing...

Anybody has connected some silent fans?

Thanks for answer

Just cut the two lines and it will fit , that's how i did it.

A happy family is but an earlier heaven!
With a dev fee of 1.5% over the lifetime of D3, I am very unhappy, you can download this old FW (which is more stable than Bitmain's November FW), I run with Frequency 400 at 820w. FW of Blissz cost 780w. If you set up the fan at 40-50% will not be noisy.
I do not want to use FM Blissz anymore, high fees follow D3 throughout life.
Linkd download FW is rated stable Bitman in September, low power consumption, less error xxxxx.
