Got into the router finally!!! Yay! BUT, the s3 inst showing up, when booting (s3) the lan status light on the port itself blinks twice and then the top red light blinks a bunch of times slowly and then stays constant
If all fails in finding the S3 on the router, then you'll have to connect it directly to your laptop / computer, but you need to have the computer disconnected from the network (ethernet and/or WIFI). You can then browse to the S3 for the single task of turning its network to DHCP. As soon as that is done, you'll then have to reconnect both the S3 aand the computer to the network / router and find the S3 there.

that did not work
I am out! Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you out.

update, the top light is red and i cannot find it in my network, reset button while on?
First, get the IP of your computer. If it is in the 192.168.xx.xx range try 192.168.1.99 (the old static default ip) else you'll have to get a network-scanner.

so i just went through a rather rushed move and had to pack up right after the failure, so i unhooked the psu from the pc and i did fry a port on the psu, one of the hdd ports. I know where i went wrong now, but what i wanna know is my miner ok? im setting it up right now so i will update once i get it booted up
It does take quite a bit to properly fry these things ..... but of course I am not psychic enough to know for sure what the state of your S3 is, but I can hazard an educated guess that it is actually OK (the panic that engulfed you was just that, panic).

yea, like i said i was able to look at the s3 board and nothing was singed, bulged, or warped, discolored, just the other blade wont power on. If im looking at the lan port the left blade is working and the right blade isnt. Plugged into each side one at a time with 2 6pins right side again, front fan spurt and nothing. Returning back to left side it boots up but, for the life of me i cannot get a hold of my room mate to get the local router ip. So i am in a bit of a stand still.

also forgot to mention that i even hit the reset button while unplugged and now i cant access the login screen, please tell me there is hope..or if im just a noob thats boned out on luck....please be honest

sorry for poor format i need to work on it Sad

You most likely had one of the older S3's that do not revert to DHCP when reset. Look for the S3 on your network as it most likely has reverted to a static IP by doing the reset (the earlier ones had 192.168.1.99 as the default so you can try and browse to that too).

ok thats the thing, i looked it up on my local network and the page started to load and then failed to load

If it failed to load with an error, then your S3 shipped with the faulty firmware (and I assume the page that failed to load is the miner status page). If that is the case, then you have two options.
1. update the firmware with one from the bitmain site (do this via the ui)
2. update cgminer with kano's latest (this is my recomended route but you have to do this via SSH).

Ok I am having a lot of trouble with a recently purchase s3+ from craigslist( i know ). At first everything was running solid, had power plugged into each 6 pin port albeit 2 of them where using molex to 6 pin adapters and a R-Box 110-120 ghs both hooked into a cooler master 800w 80+ gold psu and a pc running a sempron 2.8 ghz cpu and 4 gb of ram (controller for r-box, i dont have a Pi right yet). I went to bed hashing away at around 550 ghs on multipool.us and i woke up the r-box was zombied but i troubleshot it down to a short in the case as it turned on fine with the board removed, and then i check the s3+ and chain #2 is down and i cant find any burns or indications there was a power surge ( the pc was still on, and cgminer was still running the same instance) ive since then used two 6 pins from the psu (not the adapters) and blade one works with the 2 on one side and then i power down and plug them into the other two 6pins, try to power on and i get a fan sputter for a brief second. Then nothing happens, no light indicators are blinking even when the fan spurts up real quick, i am hoping for some reason the molex adapters arent the cause of this. I stayed up for about 4 hours watching and checking the cables to make sure they werent getting hot and they werent so i went to bed.

Well first if you pressed the reset button when no power it should not do anything.  If the S3 is on yes the reset button good chance it reset.  If you unplugged it during a reset.... bad things can happen.

When you say molex adapters... are you using molex to pci adapter?

I've not removed anything from my previous versions, just added another table at the bottom.

My version of the Miner Status is different to Bitmain's coz I removed a lot of useless info, reordered the important stuff earlier and added some new useful items.

Ok, can I request that the Diff column be re-added in the next release Smiley
If you mean the "Diff" column that was on there twice ( "LSDiff" = "Diff" )?
Yeah I removed it coz it was duplicated Smiley

I've put yet another updated AntS3 update archive in my binaries git hub of latest 4.9.2 cgminer.
For details and installing: https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS3

It's another (minor) update to the previous AntS3 release I did:

Code:
2015-Jul-10 Update cgminer-ants3-4.9.2-94e04f6-3.tgz
----------------------------------------------------
Add a table of miner hardware settings to the bottom of the Miner Status page

Tested and running on my pool of course Smiley

If you are already running the 2015-Jul-7 version (the previous update)
Code:
If you update from the 2015-Jul-7 version to the 2015-Jul-10 version,
instead of 'sync' and 'reboot' at the end of the update,
you can instead run this command on your AntS3:
 rm /tmp/luci-modulecache/*
Then the update is complete and nothing else needs to be done.

Does this new version showw the Diff column?
