While a coupon is nice, it really isn't all that spectacular considering the two-week delay before anything ships. The next difficulty adjustment will swallow that .05BTC discount for sure, won't it?

it bothers me only one thing bitmain, 1 x 1 coupon S7
that to me is wrong.
100 coupon if I have to use them all even for a single purchase.

it's a shame.

I think other way would be nice and interesting.   I would love to see it happen in times like this.  Would even be fun buying coupons seeing how cheap you could get a new miner via ton's of coupons.

But I realize it's business for them.  Right now with limiting to such a small amount and making one per they know they will still make almost the same.  It does not effect their bottom line as combine able ones would be doing much more.   Could have been fun but don't see it ever happening.

This thread has turned into a BST thread almost.   I'm a little surprised about the amount.

Each time these come out I wish you could combine them.   I can see why they don't let them be combined, but man would that be neat.

The fans on the S7 are too loud for me (even at 32% 3,000 rpm setting).  Tried these two other fans and they can't push enough air to cool the S7 even at 600M in case anyone else was thinking of trying, the logical choice of the Silverstone FHP-141 rev. 2 and the Noctua 140mm 3,000 rpm fan (with this 140mm to 120mm adapter:  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043GMZUA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00 used with 4 M4 x 18mm bolts each fan).  I believe that the Nocua moves more air than the Silverstone, even though the specs. state the opposite.    If the Silverstone had an extreme setting of 3,000 rpm (or even 2,600-2,400 rpm would probably be enough at 600M) above the performance 2,000 rpm setting, it believe it would be perfect for use with the S7.  Oh well, will have to stick with the 2 x S5 for the office for now.

Wire up your stock S7 fans in series or get a custom PWM fan controller and control the fan speed manually. You will need to have your S7 near a window however or you will need to underclock it.

Also if you change fan's it voids your warranty.   So if you have a new miner with a warranty in tact it is a shame to risk it on changing fan's.   But you are not allowed to even take apart let alone change parts without bitmain approving.

And S7 really are not meant to be quiet miners, and a lot use server PSU's which are not quiet easier.  There have been a few mods out there to make quiet.  But if your looking for quiet S7 without mods is not the miner for you in most cases.

I was just posting to inform others that may be thinking of trying these fans to save their money.  The Silverstones work great on the S3+ and even the S5's (when used in pairs with an enclosed acrylic enclosure), to reduce the noise to an acceptable level.  I've got a pair of S5's running with them clocked at 375M with about 54 degrees C showing and .0005% HW errors doing 1,230-1,250 GH/s(avg) pulling about 645watts at the wall each on Titanium power supplies running on 120v.
