I can't believe private keys are so important yet at one point it was something people shared all the time. We used to share our private keys with websites so we could get wallets that are cool looking. Like 1altcoin.... so forth, I mean we didn't share our private keys but they owned the private keys and shared it with us.

It is upmost important that you do every single thing you can think of for security, do not be as stupid as the early investors like us because we failed to see the red signs. Even every single exchange is out to get your money or could be hacked like recent cryptopia one, so no matter how safe you think you are, you will never be 100% safe in this environment.

Even if you do not get hacked, people will hype you up about a coin and take your money willingly and run with it.

I think that is enough and it's a good tip for every people who want to secure their coins. As long as you can do all of you mention, you will be safe although there is no 100% guarantee to be safe. At least you can minimize the chance your coins to be stolen by a hacker or other people. Stay safe from any suspicious links in your email and don't install any suspicious software for your computer.

To say honestly, using 2Factor Authentication is the best way to authenticate a user whether he is other person is using his account. Well, based on my experience, someone used my account but because of 2FA, still my coins is secured.

Using of hardware wallets is the most important aspect for security, then it’s followed by ensuring you keep your info safe. Aside that, you can check out this article based upon Blockchain security, as it shows some very interesting points, which allows one to be able to stay safe and secure.

As there are far too many cases in recent times of hacking and all such stuff, therefore, it’s sensible only to go for proper security measurements.

Always keep your 2FA recovery Keys/Phrases by side. I have changes my phone and did not thought about the google 2FA backups. Now I am trying to resolve this issue with a lot of exchanges, so do not repeat my mistakes.

Never use your Private Key to log in anywhere except your personal wallet. And for some seeds, I think you should remember 1 to 2 words in it and delete it, so that the hacker can not do anything.
Just write it on a piece of paper and keep it somewhere that it can't be moved or be wet.

It is not a must to save your fund d on exchange before you lose it on that same exchange.
You might be a transient trader and not a regular or day trader. Then in the process of trader for that short while, you never can tell, your fund might be stolen.
One important thing about exchange is that you should put in place, all the security measures suggested by the exchange and avoid clicking on links directly through to email.

You should be aware of the dumps! Just buy if there is a dump! Just sell if there is a pump! That's how the crypto market does.

I think the most important thing that can be done and done is to use the computer or the phone clean. Any malware that will infect your phone and PC will be very dangerous.

You can use your phone and PC only cryptocurrencies trade.

Be careful to anything or anyone that asked you for your ID or other private documents, you know there are some crypto product/project. And I have heard that there are some internet malware that can go deep into your PC/Desktop wallet and can steal your private key, so if you are using a PC wallet always update your antivirus and security.

I would add:
- not saving your private keys on cloud or sending them to your e-mail. Every internet connected place is not safe for this.
- putting your information (especially private keys) anywhere on possible phising sites etc.

So far on the thread, the only neglected crypto currency securities tips is “ Don’t give your phone or laptop to anyone”” either friend, family or anyone

You are not sure what intentions harbored towards your hard earned token

the most important thing is to never click on a phishing link because it will lose your assets, I've lost my eth due to clicking a phishing link that resembles myetherwallet by entering the private key into the site, then our private key will be recorded in their system, then also pay attention sending messages on your social media, if there are unclear links don't click, just ignore them. like sending email in the form of photos, which makes us hypnotized to click, if we examine the photo there is a phishing link.

Get a strong antivirus software to protect your computer and beware when you click on website links, bookmark the websites you always go. Don’t ever reveal your private key to another person or by filling up any forms.

Never store your private key on an online platform like cloud drive, or email. Put your keys in 2 different places so if one lost you can use the second one. Use handwritten or printed paper copy to store keys and passwords.

You have to protect your private key maximally : do not make photo of it by mobile, or scan it or email it,
or store it on clouds. Be cautious with phishing sites, check the URL ( type and save bookmark )

This list still lacks the fact that it is not necessary to go to suspicious links, so do not store your data on the computer and in general to anyone and never show your private key.

Also try to avoid suspicious links and avoid filling forms with private data if you are not confident about the company or the project, phishing is one of the major cause of hacks so you have to keep yourself safe.

I know and have encountered so many cases, it has lost a lot of enthusiasm of many friends I know. But through that I learned a lot of experiences, such as not taking money in front of you because it might be a trap  Cry
