Start earning from the bounty and learn cryptography. Then you will understand a lot how to act in trade. Learn to manage your risks.

Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers

If you have just started dealing with cryptocurrencies then first of all register on various exchanges. See how they work. You can find the airdrop coins and try to exchange them, sell them. It would be your first experience.

I am basically a newbie so ill share my growth process, the most important thing is to stay away from new and unknown alts in the beggining untill you understand and learn how to investigate each and every coin and their team and their social media because most often those things make a huge difference

Having a basic knowledge about cryptocurrency and how it works will do. Newbies dont need to know everything because they will automatically get used to it when they focus and put much of their time on it.

In my opinion, I think you should invest in ICX or CS to increase your interest in the future. Because CS is a very potent altcoin and highly regarded during the ICO period. Its functions are very good, it can handle up to 1 million transactions per second and the charge is much lower than bitcoin.
That is why it will become a big altcoin in the top 30 of the Crypto market in the future.

for the beginner the best is determined with the goals and understand for himself how he will act with the coins, store or participate in the trades, and so one can remain in profit, but not be too arrogant and then success will be in the hands

You are newbie and you owned a lot of coins but still you need to know more information about crypto and to all coins. See this link ( https://coinmarketcap.com ) ypu saw a lot of valuable coins in market specially bitcoin and ethereum. I suggest to focus first in bitcoin before investing to the other coin.

Hi and welcome,

So far you seem to be better than most, continue researching into anything that interests you, other projects and coins and their roadmaps, teams, etc. It doesn't hurt to learn about markets and technical analysis. People will only shill their holdings and advise you to buy those to better their position. Learn about the best way to protect your investments and you seem to already be doing that with adding a Ledger Nano. Good luck.

Plus gaining more knowledge in cryptocurrency will give him more insight and better discernment whenever new opportunity arises and could greatly inhibits huge failure by quickly identifying bad investments. I think with the ever changing market and opportunities we are always a newbie at some point.

The most important advice for newbie is about security. Be careful because there are a lot of phishing attempts. Secure your coins in wallets and be extra careful with your passwords and private keys.

And remember to do your own research when deciding in what to invest.

As a newbie i think the best way for them to learn especially they want to participate in bounty campaigns is to read carefully bitcointalk threads because this is very knowledgeable if you take it seriously.

I suggest you buy some altcoin because their earnings are amazing.
But again, altcoin is very risky, so you need to plan. Grin

I advise you not to get bored of learning to the more senior.
Do not shut down if someone gives input to you. And not easily rush in making decisions.

It is vital to do great research before putting into Altcoin or Bitcoin. I think you take a decent course with alt coins and additionally strong coins with conventional changes. Simply don't be excessively insatiable when you make a benefit in case you will complete a transient, set your objectives. Keep investigating anything that premiums you, anticipates and different coins, and their guides, groups, and so forth. It never damages to find out about the market and specialized investigation.

It is important to do good research before investing into Altcoin or Bitcoin. I think you take a good route with alt coins as well as solid coins with decent fluctuations. Just do not be too greedy when you make a profit if you're going to do a short term, set your goals. Continue researching anything that interests you, projects and other coins, and their roadmaps, teams, etc. It never hurts to learn about the market and technical analysis.

My suggestion you as a beginner better read more about the world of crypto. So you better understand more than you know. For the coin you have, you better see bitcoin market price. If the price goes up, you can sell it partly and keep it partially. Because if you sell all your coins I think it's not good considering that bitcoin is fluctuating.

Before starting trading, each newbie should spend really much time to get acquainted with the market, its rules and regulations. I think it will be cool to read books on the cryptocurrency and watch videos about it.

You have got good number of coins. You have only talked about trading and said that you do not want to go into it. Why not try other aspects of earning from crypto, if you wish to add to your existing portfolio. You can venture into investing in ICO or you participate in bounty campaign.  Although, if you do not have the time for bounty, you can invest in good projects.
