My advice to a newbie, that you deep study to this forum and after that you can participate in different types of campaigns are going on this forum and earn crypto tokens.
For all newbies, I think the best advice that I can share to you is to do wide research about selling and trading coins and all about cryptocurrencies. Better to be wise and be vigilant in trading and securities of your accounts.

I have one thing to advice on you since im still have to learn. Stay in this forum for a coulle of months read ,learn and apply. No one teached me in this crypto world but with the help of community using this bitcointalk, I learn. So I suggest you to do the same search for a question iy might appear in google direct it in bitcointalk. So by this thing you can learn enough thing to do a nice decision

Cryptocurrency is just starting to boom and there's still a long way to go. Everyday it's developing specially in alts there's so many developers and it's just getting started. So find your way in this forum and do your research and read some facts and news so that when you ranked up you know where and how to get a job here that suits you.
I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Basically, if you are into investment but you don't have enough money to fund your portfolio, then it's the best time for you that you are here in this forum. If you know what i mean, then go and participate in legit bounty from legit ICO which will truly help you achieved your goals.
Everyone in the field of cryptocurrency deals with what they can do. I'm store some of the coins, and use the other for investment.
The Ledger Nano S is a good way to start, it is an excellent acquisition to store your crypto, as you are thinking to invest in a long term, so if you are going to keep investing I will suggest to learn about the projects you like and when you see they dip, buy.
