My advice for newbie  is that don't see crypto trading as a get rich quick business.  In as much as its easy to make profit is also very easy to make loss.  Use like 3 months to do demo trading.

Hi guys,

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me  Undecided

I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i  am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.

Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???

Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

cheers
If you are newbie, it is better to reqseqrch and collect some informqtion about the cryptos. Read articles and issues that facig the cryptoa. Don't invest rushly because it might come that your money go to waste. And if you haven't enough amount to invest then it is better to do signature campaign than investing

just sell it all to eth, so you can hold one coin, that is eth. if you are not interested in trading, and prefer to invest, etherum is the best choice.

Welcome to the world of cryptocurrency. As you are newbie than you starting posting in Economics or altcoin or discussion of Bitcoin. The main thing to make a good post is that you will get merit and on that basis you are promoted.Because before it was promoted on the basis of time but due to so much rush on bitcointalk the promotion is on the basis of Merit so make a good post and get merit and please share merit if you like the post.

Don't read analytics. Just don't. It'll only cause chaos in you head and blur your own ideas.

The main advice is not to be afraid. Learn to control and manage your risks. The first major investment is the most difficult. But if you are prepared, it's okay. Smiley

Advice for newbies before you go to invest or to trade, first thing to do is more research, reading , learn more things about in crypto currencies. And if you join an ICO read first their whitepaper, their projects, their plans.

Yours investment is bigger when i first start, so i have only one advice for you: dont check balance more than 2 times a month!

this could be good if he decides to be an investor only and doing the daily trade because he could be stress to see his balance up and down too often and I don't think that he could be strong enough to wait the price increase higher. and if he can buy bitcoin or altcoin, then maybe I can give a suggestion to hold it and not sell if the price is not moving into the high price.

Learn before you earn! That means do your own research first with whatever venture you will do or join. Read informations from google and ask help and guidance from someone who has more knowledge with cryptos. Always remember that every investment has risk so better be prepared not just with profits and gains but with loses as well.

As a newbie in the world of crypto do not believe in HYIP sites and be careful with scammers. Do research first and read it carefully before you join the offer. Hope there is no reprieve when you enter the world of crypto. You always remember to invest only that you can afford to lose.

having bitcoin is good for investment and I think adding or buying bitcoin will be very profitable but we also need to hold more alt-coins again because their prices are more variegated

Just dont fall inlove too much with a coin. Write down your average buy in in terms of ETH or BTC and create a stop loss. You wont lose BTC/ETH value in alts if they bleed.
