it all depends on your goals. If you want to make good money, it is not enough just to keep the coins, you need to trade ,participate in ICO (you can buy insights) or engage bunty. I wish you luck.
For newbie i think its best to invest in new cryptocurrencies because here we are after money, and do some bounties while investing in this coins, so you research them a lot more and make more money.
Generally, I listed are mostly for long term holds. It's completely your observation, in which way you would like to go. Several privacy coins have a future. Always remember, if they have good tech, team, support, and a good business plan they have a profitable future!
imho Ripple isn`t a good choice neither for short-term nor for long-term investition, other coins have great perspectives and you should hold them
Ripple is an investment that could make the investor money. It depends on how the investor looks at it.
in this time I think you dont need to do anything. just keep holding your coin.

Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me
I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that.
Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc???
Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins.

First thing is to learn and make a research about Altcoin and its features in the last previous it is very useful for all the newbie's and Altcoin is one of the best coin in the crypto currency market and you will surely make a investment in this.
You can start without money and by participating in bountyy programs you can actually earn a lot.

Wow! As a newbie, you have greater amount of cryptocoins than higher rank members in here. As a newbie, I suggest that you hold your bitcoin because there are predictions that it will hit up to $20k and I believe that it will continue growing in the future. You can also trade but this is risky and I do not recommend it for a newbie. There are so much to learn about it.
You should keep reading about cryptocurrency and try to learn how the things work in the market. Don't forget to observe and of course only listen to your own instincts in the end. You shouldn't hurry about investing.

The best thing i can advice for you is too read a lot in this forum because in reading you can learn a lot and also it can help yoy read some pinned post and whenever you are a jr join some bounty and signature campaign in order for you to get profits

I’m now at BTC 27.32% ETH 17.34% OMG 6.21% XRP 36.4% and I’ve added LTC @ 12.1%
I’ve bought more of all my coins and have done well last week or so especially LTC and XRP yesterday. I haven’t sold any as I want to keep all at least till 2019. I’ll be adding to this weekly and looking at other coins to diversify a bit.
Question is I’m thinking of using some of my profits in one of my coins to buy more XRP. Not Omise though ya! ETH, LTC or BTC. Any thoughts?
