First of all, Merry Christmax & Happy NY, everyone! 🎄

I'm thinking about something. Say, you hold a Medium / Wordpress blog or you do YouTube content, or you have lots of subscribers / followers in your social media. And apparently, you notice guys who trying to tell the world about their great idea. Or they already developing MVP. Or they just finished MVP. They don't have a shitcoin and they don't ask for investors standing on a chair on every birthday or funeral. All they ask – a bit of support.

If you like their idea, would you accept making content about them and not getting any money (I mean only money) in the begining?

Of course, I would, we need interesting contents and new concepts because we have audiences that want news that will interest them and if they know that you are not receiving money or bounty to write, they will find that project that interesting and they will thank you for that, I support writers that are independent and do not accept bounty to write about a project.

I do some contents before for free but it still depends on what content would you like to have.

Well, good for you since you can help those project for getting less expense for their content creators but be careful next time since there's a possibilities that your content will be used by them so that they will look appealing and scam people so be more selective or maybe ask a payments so that you will get benefited for your efforts done.

Depending on project, we can not only make a content for free. We have our own projects tracker, news portal and solid track record of ICOs done. A 2020 is a year of collaborations.  Smiley

I agree that it is still on the project if the project is very good and with potential in the market, some good projects do not have a budget at all for marketing and they just rely on a word of the mouth marketing, and some bloggers are actually doing it now, these are bloggers who are actually investors with large followers and he doesn't want to disappoint his supporters.

This is subjective and depends on a lot of factors such as how serious the person or team is with the project, what the project has to offer,  deos the project really worth my attention? and other minor factors, its a free work so i must be sure i aint just wasting my time on a useless project...

I agree,  one of the projects that deserves attention and free write-ups is IDENA it's a free distribution based on human interaction the algo is very unique, there is no bounty rewards for writing them but you can be sure that your readers will thank you for writing about this project.

Why not, a good project to needs to be promoted and even if they are not paying me to write about the project,  people who will read my content about that good project will give credit to my content and it will be shares and had a chance to go viral, and people should also do the same write good content to projects with good potential for free.

It's still unclear what's the point. At first when someone has business plans, he/she may start looking for startup investors and I highly believe he/she will find one but of course it depends on country where you live and also depends on you, you have to believe investors in your idea and why it's better than others, why investor has to invest in your project instead of others and why it will bring better profit than other, why it's the idea that deserves his/her attention.
But in overall what youtubers do is getting sponsors and doing reviews or making popular their products/services, so I highly doubt anyone will help such guys that you describe for free but it also depends on personal support, if someone read your idea and liked it very much, then he/she may help you in making it a little bit popular by writing small article about it or just mentioning it in their youtube video.
I think answer is 50/50.

If you are my personal close friend then why not? I will give it to you for free to support on your growth. But since you are a stranger here then No! There's no why would I give a free content while I can earn with it? There's no existing free service in this world and if you plan to have a free then it's not possible and maybe it's best to think on paying so that you will get a excellent service here.

snip..
to be honest.. I make content (videos or blogs) because of money.  I don't take them seriously in marketing their products if they don't pay.  at least they have to prepare funds for marketing at the beginning because a good product without marketing costs will be difficult to develop at this time.

I don't think so, Bitcoin did not start that way, Satoshi Nakamoto just present the idea, and people have seen its uniqueness and it's potential, investors like great ideas with potential than hype, marketing is just to bring the idea but early supporters who believe on this can take this on a word of the mouth marketing, I'm willing to support with no money involve if it has potential.

Now the problem is, you think that there are actual people doing content for free, just because they like the project. They'll talk about an idea just because they think it's of significance, it's newsworthy, it's a great idea... these guys do exist. They're journalists.

But there's a mismatch of needs here. What you're looking for is influencer audience. Thousands of views and likes, not the handful of views from people who actually want to read stuff because they find it interesting.

I've seen it myself. Original content, absolutely non shilled, typically Bitcoin centric and just on a social idea with no platform or product to sell. And it gets a couple of hundred reads and that's it.

I think I will consider to help them to make content about them in my blog. I have seen that before, and I think if we can help them, why not we support the project. Besides that, if their project is good, and we can get more views from them, I think they will get the benefits from us, and if we are joined on the advertising website, we can also make money from our content. Perhaps, we can give them another idea about the project, so if they agree, and they can apply it to their project. I think in the end, if their projects can succeed, they can give some rewards to us.

Why not writers will write anything that will generate attention and they are much into something unique and have never been published ideas, if that is a good idea writers will ask for write ups and interview, they will charge money if the idea or project are just to promote crowdfunding but lacks something that will generate support, so they hire writers.

Why do some people avoid using github to post their free content? I had to search and find code miner code on a separate forum...

Request for free content... I would love to see Claymore's source code

It depends on the platform if they are YouTubers and they're interested in the project they still get paid when posting it since they earn revenue from ads. Medium writers also earn revenue from ads, so they might do it especially the project has a unique feature that people might like it. One thing for sure when something is unique and useful people will become free promotors. I personally will support any developments and projects as long as it's not shady or scam and bring benefits to the community, why not.

If I have the audience and I like a idea and if I would love to share it, then why not?! Not every thing we should do requires that we should be paid. Asking for money for everything will just lead the world to darkness. Imagine Einstein getting refused to publish e=mc^2 by publishers because of money!

If I like the idea and see a big opportunity in it, like it is gonna be very useful in the future then why not? But, prefer to have a long-term contract with the project to keep update about it and hopefully I can have some advantage in the future.

If you like their idea

That is the key. If the idea is good and it’s being well implemented, they might find an abundance of support.
