Facebook's CEO is Mark Zuckerberg not Zuck, lol.
About Libra, it would be just a usual cryptocurrency even if it contained some big improvements and features it would just be looking like the usual altcoins in terms of technology. The winning card for Libra is its relationship with Facebook, the integration of Libra in Facebook will move the Cryptocurrency to a new era where a Bitcoin could easily have a valuation of 100k$.

Come to think of it, about a year ago if you can remember,  many “cryptocurrency gurus and advocates" were excited about Libra and I remember for most of them their excitement was huge which fueled their daily discussions about it.

No one was exited about it. Libra will come to an existence for sure. But it is nothing to be excited about. It will be just another stable coin. We already have more then 10 of them. What might happen is that tether will have less FUD, since FUD will spread also on Libra.

I think there are other cryptocurrencies, that more stable than Libra. Libra is like a new project to other people who never no how good it is, in trading coins in the market  and get smile in profit making.

The last time I heard was that Zucks hired a new lawyer so I guess he is still up for it, he just needs to lobby. Or maybe wait for another president to come. Trump is not friendly to crypto so maybe he'd try his luck later.

His libra is not relaly attractive since its just a stablecoin, its also not the kind of project that is need to start the bullrun so I guess its all irrelevant except that it can really open billions of users to crypto.

I am sure that such projects will only be possible with cooperation with states. The state will never give the "green light" if it is not sure that it is not preventing its monetary security
Thats the problem with them. US always treat all crypto project as harmful on their side. Im sure SEC will not stop unless the idea of Libra has been totally aborted. I feel that Mark are already tired of defending what is the sole purpose of his plan on Libra.

When I check their plan and it seems really good the problem lies on the trust issues of the people who are neglected due to privacy concern of facebook long time ago.

In my opinion, the same thing happened with Libra and TON, they tried to launch in USA and become possible competitors to the dollar, it was stoped.
Thats true we cant do much anymore on the restriction on US. Actually its quite bad to start a crypto project or ICO when you are gonna launch it from the states. It will only be hamperes by such strict regulations.

It's a long time for me not to hear about that project because I think that project was discontinued.
But I don't know anything about that project because I think there are many other good projects out there waiting for us to invest with them.
Maybe their team still runs the project, but they don't tell the public about what they do now.
And if the project is still running until now, maybe they will announce something related to the project so that you can wait for their update news.
But to be honest, I prefer to invest in the other project to give me a profit.

We were surprised that Libra will come into the crypto market which is really good news but now it is a dead project.
Nope, maybe they don't have any announcement yet for past days or even months, but the development is still progressing, their last commit on their github page was just yesterday.

Facebook wanted to get all the commission that were going trough using payment processor while spending on Facebook. It needed to do some different but the partner of Facebook, the US government was not happy with the Facebook's plan. Facebook's Libra project could not project a detailed info of how the amount user and location could be tracked for US government, so it fell from grace. That's why Libra is dead now.

Come to think of it, about a year ago if you can remember,  many “cryptocurrency gurus and advocates" were excited about Libra and I remember for most of them their excitement was huge which fueled their daily discussions about it.

Libra was something very big, looking at it from a very positive positions of theirs to super critical stands, most advocates were seriously convinced that Libra was something very BIG!

For the very reason that Mr. Zuck was outrightly involved and the stronghold of a Company such as Facebook was the glaring guarantee of the impact... Wasn't it?

The amazing discovery for me right now is that no one has a clear idea of how things will evolve especially in this cryptocurrency world especially where the possibilities and combinations of politics, companies’ interest, public reactions, technical evolution, etc is involved.

It is possible that the Covid 19 pandemic that hit many countries has made delays in developing Libra to the public, because we know that recently all stocks and cryptocurrency exchanges have also been affected, while in some parts of the country many have plummeted regarding their stocks and companies bankrupt, so to launching Libra last month was a fatal thing to do and too fast to launch, that could be the reason why Libra is no longer heard of on some major forums ..

This is just my speculation !!

Zuckerberg does not seem to give up hope of releasing his Libra project, although his statements about this may be purely commercial and political. It is already clearly visible that Libra will never become the global project for which it was designed earlier. In addition to wasting considerable time, the situation in the cryptocurrency market has changed significantly. States began to massively develop their national stablecoins of central banks and Libra, with its dubious and scandalous reputation, no longer holds much promise.

No more hope for Libra, at least not within this year.

The problem with Libra is that the world of our current financial system might be shaken to the core. Unfortunately, this means the powerful's hold to power might be put at risk. This is going to be something they are not comfortable with. That is the main reason why Libra was forced to be postponed to an indefinite time.

And the powerful of today are still the ruling people. They were able to elbow the rest of the international companies which earlier showed interest to join Libra. It proved to be too easy for these people to make these companies quit.

It's a done deal for Mark's pet project, government around the world are totally against it, not because they are against crypto, but they don't want to give Mark and Facebook too much power. So the idea was scraped for now and if ever they are going to come back, they need to reinvent themselves.

However, I doubt that nations specially in EU will pre-approved it, I mean even US is afraid of it, so it's a failed project itself and there's no hope that Libra will comeback anytime soon. This is the perfect time actually because people are into crypto as we are in a bull run, sadly they can't take a piece of the big pie right now.

I am surprised that we still have people talking about this dead project. If you haven't heard about it, this is how the things turned out for Libra: Zucker wanted to make some profits from cryptocurrency, without giving any credit to the original inventors (i.e Satoshi Nakamoto and others). He came up with his own crypto called Libra, by plagiarizing ideas from other projects. Unfortunately for him, the senate committee clearly told him that the project won't be allowed to start. As you know, Zucker is an egoistic man and he doesn't want to admit his failure. So for now the official statement claims that the project is in cold storage. But the truth is that it is dead as a dodo.

one of my countries is a geopolitical and geo-economic expert, he said that Libra will get a green light because Libra will hold the IMF if I am not mistaken, remembering that the IMF will also get feedback from Libra plus the IMF can also control Libra indirectly
but I cannot think more because I do not really understand this

Basically libra was a stable coin project so it is not going to make big changes in the crypto currency market, it might ended the dominance of tether trading volume but due to regulation issues Libra project didn't get launched so for now they are waiting for the approval from the government.

We were surprised that Libra will come into the crypto market which is really good news but now it is a dead project. There is no recent update of Libra project for a long time. Probably it has been rejected by Mark Zuckerberg due to the las of USA. There is no hope of this project's future. We have to forget it from our memory. It is a failure project before born and come to light.

I would personally not call these guys who got excited over Libra "cryptocurrency gurus and advocates". Not even close to that.

As far as I remember (and this is a thing that's been quite well impregnated inside my mind), almost nobody was excited over Zucc's coin. How the hell could I trust something that's been created by one of the largest data collecting and privacy intruding corporations in the world?

It's probably not even a cryptocurrency. Just something that has the ability to probably collect the remaining information Zuckerberg does not have yet about you, your personal life and your family. Libra was heavily rejected from all sides, which is also why you don't hear about it yet. As it turned into a failure, it wouldn't be surprising if he changed the surveillancecoin's name in order to give it a second launch attempt.

I highly hope there's no hope for it. We're here to get freedom. Not to enslave ourselves more than our current world system does. I'm excited exactly 0% about his so-called "cryptocurrency".
