Don't do that. History have shown us that every exchange eventually gets hacked. Unless you control the private keys, its not really your coins. It is a lot of job to sync multiple wallets, but it is worth it to reduce the risk of loosing everything.
I would say you should always use your own wallet. Never store coins on exchanges, unless you want to trade them.

I don't know if it is going to catch on, but the developer/founder is a genius who created a solid marketing campaign for it and there is huge hype. I have never seen as much hype for an ICO before, ever.
Hey, as I see, DeepOnion is everybodys mouth. It is not yet like Monero, but will be soon when DeepSend feature will be released. Which should happen soon. And it's more a signature campaign than an airdrop. But you still get the coins almost for free.
