Hello,
I am interested in learning to trade and would like to ask the board for suggestions on a good demo trading site.
My hope would be to identify a site were I could learn for a few months and then move into actual capital.

Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you.

It’s better to trade with the smallest amount available rather demo trade. By demo trading you will get a lot of bad habits as you don’t feel the value of money. You might be performing very well on demo but when you decide to go live the results might change dramatically..

Demo trading could be a bit different from real life experience because it involves your real sweat i e,  money. So emotions would come in and other things. I have not heard of demo for cryptos anyway only for forex trade.

Demo trading sites are really cool for both newbie traders and expert traders because it gives the newbie trader and avenue to feel how the trading marketplace is like and it also gives the expert an opportunity to be able to test trading skills for maximum profit

Demo trade doesn't a great idea. You can learn the trade from someone who is regular trader. So, you can learn properly about trading. I also learned from my brother. He is a regular crypto trader. He teaches me a lot. Now I am also a regular crypto trader.

A trading account allows you to manage fake funds in your account, you can use the funds to trade like you’re in a real life situation that’s one good thing about demo trading. I know sites like alpari.com, forex.com, instaforex.com(which presently gives $500 bonus to your main account)

It's of no use trust me on a demo site you might be making good profits but demo account only helps you understand the interface you can expect to get the same opportunity again when you do on a real account. For now hitbtc.com has a demo account i don't remember if any other exchange has but i would recommend you to right away trade with real account and not a demo

Hitbtc has a demo trading account which provides you with some demo Bitcoin and Litecoin for practice purposes. You will get a full access to trading with unlimitited balance without registration needed.
Yes, hitbtc is the one that gives complete access on demo trading. Rather than trading on these demo accounts, it's good to invest a small amount as capital and know much about trading, because practical experience makes people understand the market easily.

I guess hitbtc offers such service.I never tried before but you can check it out if you have time.

https://demo.hitbtc.com/exchange

Yes, hitbtc has a demo site for trading cryptocurrencies. You can explore it there. Just a point though, hitbtc got a red trust from bitcointalk I guess way back then. I don't know how they got it.

If you want, it is not hard to practice crypto trading even in the real exchange platforms. It is not like in forex where you can easily burn money. In crypto trading, you can simply observe and then jump into it with a small amount just for practice.

Demo accounts are usually good to practice but not all trading sites makes provision for that but there is this site you can use www.hitbtc.com has a platform for demo but you will have to and create an accout then login in other to gain access to the site as well as the trading platform.

oh really? thanks for the information. i thought that it doesnt exist that demo platform. i will visit that site to to make practices on how it will be in trading.
Yes I haven't found any other trading platform that offer demo account except hitbtc. Just try them, there is also another platform simplefx.com that also offers practice account but they are not a true crypto trading platform like hitbtc.

In some ways, I prefer CFDs. I especially liked the way that 1broker handled their BTCUSD market, and I can't wait for them to return with their proposed 1fox service. If they have the same fee structure (i.e. no fees to hedge short BTC), I'll definitely be trading there.

There have been times when I've been able to take advantage of the time lag between the CFD broker's (1broker or SimpleFX) API and the exchange indices, getting out at a better exit price than was actually available on the exchanges.

I would suggest any site or broker that allows you to trade with the MetaTrader platform, which simplifies most of the charting analysis you need as a learner. If it's just a demo, a lot of forex brokers now offer Bitcoin pairs but my hesitance with most is the AML requirements most have in place. Someone here mentioned SimpleFX and that's also the one I find the most diverse WITH a great anonymous option for Bitcoin.

I have been exploring the option to use MT5 feeding off the charts from exchanges and running your own demos but have not been successful. Anyone tried successfully with say Polo or Bittrex?

To trade, you need to learn trading strategies, not sites. And it's better to trade where there is a lot of trading.

i see. so at that rank you have, you gained experience about trading. and you suggesting us (those new in terms of traiding) to find a trading site that has a lot of traders? that was a good advice and very thankful for that info. but how about that "you need to learn trading strategies" youve mentioned? can you give us an example to have us an idea what is your pointing about?
