I was wondering how people are making sure that the game is not rigged or being manipulated? This is my concern about Electronic Leagues.
I read before a thread here about sports game being manipulated if a big leagues like that can be manipulated what more this rising
Electronic Leagues?

ya.ya.yo!

Sounds very possible. When you rigged an Electronic games I guess nobody would notice it, at least not as obvious as a boxing result because the outcome is always been decided by the game itself not with the judges. Pretty much in every sport or other betting games, rigging is inevitable since business always finds a way to make more money.

Yes I was thinking of what if it's like an NBA cyber they intentionally missed the shot or in the first person shooting games they could intentionally missed the shot and they say he missed it. Unlike in sports you will know if their game is changed or something is wrong happening since you'll see the changes in their game. I'm just curious about it.

Electronic sports betting, actually there have been several platforms that provide this.
It is actually a popular platform where you can do electronic sports betting by group or individual. And of course, betting is available there as an electronic sports betting. Today, many companies create eSport platforms and it is familiar enough among sports lovers. And everything that offers the league, there will be probably such kind of "betting"

Some leagues that are commonly done are:
Quote
Liga Pro
ESports Battle – EPL
Champions League B
Fifa Quaranteam

And about how to bet on eSport leagues, there will also depend on each platform.

Seen those as well on Sportsbet when the bubble hasn't yet started but not really fan of those and no known player or team yet I actually acknowledge. I wonder if these players are just registering on some platforms and maybe they are using PlayStation, am I right? I wonder if this possible on mobile devices since they have an app in this, just an annoying part (though off-topic) of the mobile app is you can't easily update roster unlike on PC you just have to download a file.

I have made a nice profit with betting on 4x4 or 6x6 minutes electronic soccer leagues. "Fleshka777" and "Baphomet" are my favorite teams for betting over 2.5 goals, if someone has the experience with the electronic soccer leagues surely they will recognize these teams. Never tried the electronic NBA games but I will give it a shot because soccer is better for me to understand compared to basketball. Recently, the Stake website has opened the half-time betting for these leagues too.

I don't feel comfortable and more entertaining compraed to live games.

Betting on live games is intriguing and heart pumping. It is more real and not freely manipulated unlike the program games. I think I prefer the live games if I have opportunity to bet on it. Especially with soocer , it gives me the opportunity to analyse the game before it starts.

I believe it's more like analyzing the players , knowing about them , their stats and such , when we are talking about the live sports it's more or less very varied since there can be new players and such.

I've been seeing that everything I check on the basketball section, even before the NBA was already live and honestly it doesn't interest me as I don't reallt have an idea on how to play it, maybe after reading all the helpful information shared by some users here, I might try.

See it's something that would take time , experience and you have to be consistent with it , which would eventually make anyone with good skills a pro player Wink hopefully

I'd never try this honestly but it looks interesting to me, though. Maybe just a try but I don't want to make myself betting in here because I don't feel comfortable and more entertaining compraed to live games.

I know that this it runs into a certain programs, I'm not sure if this can be still manipulated or not which I'm worried about and this could also a reason why it lessen the interest for many bettors.

Manipulation is always possible.
Be it online, offline, live , prerecorded. What matters is - " what the institution allows, how well they handle it "

Look for a site which have : stats , analysis , recording , previous games and such.

I'm so much not a fan of this virtual or electronic games especially with the fact that, your predictions are entirely subject to the programs put in place by the programmer to generate the outcomes on each games. It makes predicting so difficult and in a matter of an minutes, your chances of winning or losing a lot is relatively high but, I'll stress on the losing as it has been my case the few times I e tried them. No doubt a lot of other persons do understand certain options to stake on that comes rather frequently but, not measuring a teams strength based on the quality of players they are supposed to add just don't help my predictability and it's so uncool to me. But then, it is fun as it makes betting never to be out of season.
I guess we do all have our own peferences. ESL won't be popular for no reason, more likely it is because there are players who are interested or are fond of playing such games.
..your predictions are entirely subject to the programs put in place by the programmer to generate the outcomes on each games.

It's not entirely a pure luck game since users have to make a way to get the best play.

Not sure but this could be a reason why others are into this game because they are more likely having a "grasp" regarding the outcome of the games than to just wait and rely on their fate. As I've mentioned above, preferences are simply subjective ;one could be going in the left side, and one could be on the other way around. In my case, I am into watching sports but not interested putting money into it.
I really love watching sports most especially if it is boxing or NBA but just like you I really dont like risking my money just to bet for a particular side because the game is very unpredictable. Maybe the team we are up to yesterday can be defeated by the team they are competing with. For example the golden state warriors, they are a 3 time back to back champion that's why everybody loves them but when some of their pro players left the team, the chances of other teams to defeat them are high.

So it's a tournament of players playing sports games on pc? Did I get that right? Sounds like they should just label it as eSports and not something else since I'm pretty sure the definition still encompasses what they're doing right now.

Yes it's tournament.
It was called "Electronic Sports League" for the reason that most of the games played there was sports related like Basketball, Football, Soccer, and etc. These games are inspired in a real life league.
While "Esport" focuses on First person shooting game (FPS) and Multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA). These games was originally created by developer's fantasy.
So, there is a fine line between these two categories which is why they have separate terms, though both of them emphasizes the word "electronic" which was both playable in the computer.

esports means video games and if this isnt a video game this shouldnt be in the esport category but like what @Wexnident , he said that this was like a video game  . this should be in the esport category then . its my first time hearing them , that there are tournaments for people that play sports genre video games like nba because when we said esports the games mostly involved are moba games and fps games  .   choosing the winner wont differ on how other esport games played , it depends on the player and not if who or how they  programmed the game  .
Depending on the games. As we all know that casino too uses video games when you gamble or bet but that is not considered as esports.

However, it is easy to verify if the game belongs to the category of esports or not. Dota2 is esports including csgo, mobile legend and other online games. When we say esports according to wikipedia.org that Esports is also known as electronic sports, e-sports, or eSports) a form of sport competition using video games. It clearly stated that it is a competition between professional players or team of players. The best esports nowadays that has been doing is dota2. For now, I get behind the update of this game due to work but had played this game for a while since i was in my highschool days way back 2006 but it was The frozent throne or warcraft that evolves to dota to dota2.

We used to bet on these on total lockdown time during April-May as there were no real soccer games happening so we were somewhat forced to bet on them. Now that the leagues are back only real “Electronic League” fans bet on them and follow the eSports area.

Sounds like they should just label it as eSports and not something else since I'm pretty sure the definition still encompasses what they're doing right now. First time I actually saw them having called it Electronic league though, always thought it was eSports. Been participating in some local NBA2k tourneys in our place and it's always called as eSports.

Doesn't that mean that eSports on general are dependent on how the programmer programmed the game? And that dictates the winner? Unlikely tbh. Balancing and the like is done daily and in case of sports that are based on irl teams, stats are mostly balanced and would actually just skew towards whatever that said player is skilled at. Arranging them in a team where it's more likely to make you win is part of the skill that's required in these types of games.

I used to bet on the NBA2K but their league is different since every player is controlled real time instead of just one player controlling the entire team.

I'm so much not a fan of this virtual or electronic games especially with the fact that, your predictions are entirely subject to the programs put in place by the programmer to generate the outcomes on each games.
You're probably referring to the virtual games and not the electronic league mentioned in the OP. They're not the same because on the electronic league you can gather information between the players and base your prediction from there but with virtual games the only information you have is the odds.

If you mean the programmers as the developers, games like this can't be modified as long as the game was released in the market. Just like any other esports games, the developers have nothing to do with the outcome of the games. It all depends to the players how skilled, good and lucky they are. I've been betting into esports games but not with electronic basketball. Predictions are predictions and they really are subject to the performance of the gamers but no connection with the programmers.

..your predictions are entirely subject to the programs put in place by the programmer to generate the outcomes on each games.

All shots percentages are RNG. But those will be affected by the defense, a form of shooting, the timing of shooting.

It's not entirely a pure luck game since users have to make a way to get the best play.

A game of strategy but of course, search for those users involved in how good they are.
