I actually got in, in 2016 and the hype was pretty much there too. I could remember that during the time, bitcoin price was below $1,000 and all attention was always on getting the price to $1000 but because of the insatiable needs of human being, we tend to ask for more. The moment $1,000 was touched, then next is $1,500 and on like that. This was what happened till mid 2017 where price was hovering between $3000 and $4000 but took a downturn because of the uncertainty about the upcoming BCH fork.

The height of the hype was witnessed towards the end of 2017 when the price of BCH was on the rise, other forks were coming out which a lot of people believed its an avenue for free money couple with the mass publicity of various social media platforms, We left the below $10,000 to above the $10,000 region. While this was going on, a lot of speculations were fueling the rise but several people even on the forum were talking on exercising some cautions on the basis of the increase although deep down, every one was smiling. But unfortunately, its not something that will last forever and that is what we are seeing now.

Logically and mathematically Bitcoin should grow. The adoption is big and rising, the coin development is on thew right direction and we talk here about a coin with limited supply.
But by my logic we should not be bullish for months already, still the market doesn't go by my logic.

Unfortunately I don't have a crystal ball either. So I just don't know what's going to happen on short term. Sorry.

personally, I first heard about the crypto currency in 2015 and then felt that it was complete nonsense and did not buy it. after a year and a half entered the market when I saw that this technology is not what survived, but on the contrary, even added to the price

It was not so different then present time, the situation was almost similar. But that there was not this much popular altcoins and the market of altcoin was not this high which now creates more opportunities in crypto.

Before 2017 the hype was not strong like now but the maket was solid. There was almost no scams in the market and only real enthusiasts invested in the market. in 2017 the hype was created and now the market is in this condition.

Before 2017 the market was at it's best phase I think. People knew less about bitcoin and only real enthusiasts invest that time. And the crypto projects were also qualityful and there was almos 0 scams. But, all changed after 2017.

I got into the crypto in 2015. Actually I know about it though a online betting website. That time only a very few people know about it.
I joined this forum later on 2016 but still I don't have any clue about what was going on here. I used to come here and find new betting websites, there was some website who were making give away like 0.00100000 btc or 3000 DOGE just for joining them.

I think the circumstance before the publicity is nearly the same as the present condition, before the promotion the market still full with whales, the pump and dump aggregate were scattered in wherever the ICO notoriety was somewhat better before the publicity, numerous great ventures showed up, the main distinction was its less demanding to win bitcoin before the promotion.

I rarely heard about bitcoin in 2016. It was sound like a fraud method at that time and i didn't spend even 15 minutes to learn about it. Embarrassed

One year later, i started to explore about investing, stock market. And i often took books from my university library in those days. When i took a Peter Lynch's book from the library, i met with a guy who recommend me to start investing bitcoin. I searched bitcoin on that day and i invested my whole savings into crypto two weeks later. (just a few thousands) One month later, Chinese fud had started and i lost 30% of my savings in a day. I am losing since then Grin

pumps and dumps weren't here before, at least they weren't so popular. We had less ridiculous guys screaming about the moon. At the very beginning, believers were the majority of the community, now they're like 5%

I joined crypto a long time ago. It has been a while now and to be honest we have seen the tough times as well as the good times.
It has been a wonderful journey until now and I hope it continues. Watching btc rise over $1k and then dropping back to $300. Watching it cross $19k and now at $6.5K . This is how it keeps going on.

I know something about the condition of Bitcoin before 2017. That's time it was not so popular. And it's price was $560 USD, That is so low comparing present price.This comparison says that after 5 or 10 years later Bitcoin price will rise in multiples times than now.
