I am trying to earn Banano, there are many options to earn but I chose Folding@home to help in medical research.  I observe that having 100 points can only give us around 8-9 Banano.  Not bad considering my PC if left folding can earn around 9k points for the whole day.  Though I do not know how much would Banano cost in the future but having it around won't hurt.  Besides I am helping in scientific research.

No, 1200000 points = 2000 BAN

Folding is a good option if you want to generate more Banano, I stopped using folding at home as I am also mining JSECOIN with one browser, I am planning to buy a computer with a good specs, my target is at least 300 Banano up, I can only earn 10 to 20 Banano with powerplant browser mining.

I honestly haven't heard about Banano. I could advise instead of mining , they should also be a staking where by user can be able to earn for holding. I will read more of it later.

My big question is and the team should address this, when will you create an official announcement, honestly this coin is getting a lot of attention, I think it's time for the team to create a complete and comprehensive announcement thread, so for people can have all the answer that they want to know.

I fully agree, we're working on that. We have lots of other technical and community related projects going forward just now, so it might take 2-3 weeks. But as said, I fully agree and we'll go for that asap.

Until then, I recommend to check our Blog at Publish0x or Medium to get an impression about recent developments.

I'm interested in mining Banano because it's still new and still easy than ethereum, monero or bitcoin, is there any detail about the complete how to mininng Banano?

Kindly go to the website https://bananominer.com and click "what is this?" in the top right corner. This will bring you to the FAQ which can be found at the bottom of the site. We'll work on a more detailed how-to but for now this should answer all questions and get you started. If you have more questions please feel free to ask them here. I also answered several questions above already. Enjoy!

By the way Team BANANO is already on first place this month, clearly ahead of CureCoin Wink Every Miner/Folder Counts!

It seems like this is a good and interesting coin, I will be mining and hope that later it can become an expensive and profitable coin. thank you sir.

How much banano can be earned by folding? How much is per point in banano? There are still some info I am missing and just new to this coin and as far as I am using it I guess this one has many nice feature for a coin.

Hello,

Your results will vary, from the BANANO Miner website:

The ratio is variable based on a number of factors. You may expect around 2500 BANANO per day on folding with a high end GPU, maybe 300 BANANO per day on an average CPU. You can see what other people are getting on Discord chat.banano.cc.

"You may expect around 2500 BANANO per day on folding with a high end GPU" - this is a lie, I received only 2000 BAN for 1200000 points ((, this is very little, not even enough to pay for electricity

I've tried mining Banano through folding, I made a good amount but I cannot keep up with the heat and the continuous lagging of my computer, I have no choice but just do browser mining, currently setting up one pc for mining Banano only, we'll just have to wait for a year for more, and this coin will explode.

It seems to me that if you take up this field of activity, you first need to think about profitability, because if Bitcoin mining is already profitable, because this activity is very costly.  Therefore, you need to consider all the pros and traffic jams regarding this project.

Why has the extraction bonus decreased so much?

Payments are adjusted all the time, according to folder counts, prices and trading volumes. We can't give away all coins in one day, so with the huge increase in attention and people actually folding we have to be a bit mindful and rather decreased payout ratios in recent days.

By lowering your loot bonus so much, you lose customers because the appeal of your coin goes to zero.
Look at how things are with other, popular coins, whose complexity increases following the rules, and not at the request of the administrator.

Again, the mining faucets are one aspect of BANANO's ongoing free distribution program, the cryptocurrency itself does not (!) require mining. We are different from other coins in various ways, so it's surely not valid to compare BANANO with any coin in existence that requires mining.

We apparenty should find clearer ways to communicate all this in an ANN shortly. Until then you can find various ways to get BANANO for free at https://banano.cc and https://banano.how

BANANO is listed and traded on several exchanges since quite some time already, see overview here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/banano

interesting topic, I will learn abount it,  thanks for the tip
Do they have plans to expand to other exchanges in the near future?

Hello and you're welcome.
BANANO currently can be traded at Mercatox and Txbit.io, and it very recently also was listed at Citex and Bitmesh. Current market data is available here at Coingecko.
You'll find a wealth of resources at https://banano.how/links/ that we'll keep updated. To answer your question, yes if the exchange makes sense for us we're open for expansion.

Great project. I am mining Banano already couple of weeks.
Do you plan to revive the game with a monkey collecting bananas?

Hi, that's great to hear!

I believe your are talking about BANANO Runner, that was a very fun game. We have some development on going with some ideas on reviving this in the future. We do currently have some other games/faucets live now. You can also find more information that's up to date on https://banano.how/

Thank you,

Claiming they will have the #1 coin on CMC?  That is a complete joke

This is just another scam coin that the devs are waiting to dump when they get any significant pumps.

You know what a meme coin is, do you?
