So, I got a Banano, now calculated the matching points to the coins. It turns out that 1 Banano is approximately ~13 points. Right?

Interesting, but i not mine banano, this coin can be mined only with CPU? If was possible i would preffer the way that Nano (Raiblock) was distributed, via captcha work because that way is easier and not put pc at hard work.

I wonder why today I got a little more than yesterday, even though I earned 10x more points? That is, coins are paid out at random? If it was an ordinary faucet, I wouldn't be surprised. But it is actually a rental of computing power. Which should be equally paid. Maybe there are not medical computing, but mining, for example Monero? Where can I find the exact ratio of points to coins?

For full detailed support and in-depth discussion you should come to our discord server: https://chat.banano.cc
We have an extra channel for our Foldingathome Miner, and one for the CPU Miner. Apparently there is some confusion about what mining faucet works how, please scroll up a bit for detailed explanations.

As a reminder, you guys should know that BANANO is not mineable, we are using both Mining Faucets as distribution methods. Our aim is to make this ongoing and as fair as possible. That means we are adjusting how points from Folding@Home convert to BANANO on a daily base, and this is not linear, and we can't tell all details to avoid people exploiting this. Similar adjunstments are made for our CPU Miner, Powerplant.

BANANO is currently also distributed through several other faucets with are not all online all the time. Here's for example a faucet: https://faucet.banano.coranos.io/

And you'll find lots more information on https://banano.cc and https://banano.how and in our blogs.

Thank you for your explanation. That is, as far as I understand, payments depend on the continuity of work, and it is better to get passkey.

2019 Q4: Claiming #1 spot on CMC, BINANCE listing, and even more airdrops.
Do you mean the first with highest volume in coinmarketcap? It's very ambitious but not possible at all for me, just a nonsense and baseless words. My first impression is that this coin gives too high false promise. But, I'm interested to follow just to find out can this coin really achieve its ambitious goals or just like others low quality projects.

Please follow our blog for regular updates and news.

The #1 place on CMC is such an obvious joke, and since we are a meme coin I think it's quite ok to have those on our website. We are doing seriously good work, have seriously good tech, and make memes and have serious fun.

Thanks bantano, if it doesn't have to use GPU and can make more by starting with the folding@home faucet. I'll try it.
I'll follow your twitter handle, this is the official one? https://twitter.com/bananocoin?lang=en
Yes, that's the official one.
Okay, thanks I'll probably update myself with your handle there. I can't handle myself to follow almost all of your social media accounts.

Yes, that's the official one.

A day ago someone on this forum did recommend banano to me when I complained about no profitable coins to mine but I don't know what algorithm banano is running on and how profitable it is, is there any profit calculator available for banano?

Conversion of foldingathome points to BANANO is somewhat varying and not linear. Ideally join our discord at https://chat.banano.cc and see what others get with respective equipment.

Also, BANANO is not mineable, please check the links above. We created a Miner Faucet and use it as distribution method amongst different other faucets.

All the information you need are all here, https://banano.cc/ don't look at the price right now, consider what it is bringing to the table, it's fee less and the transaction is very fast, soon we will have 1000 times profit of what we have today.

I saw this listed on ledger wallet. What would be the recommend CPU and browser to start mining with this coin? how much you earn for each of them?

I would recommend to start with the folding@home faucet because it pays more even if you don't use a GPU. You can find some more details on the website at https://bananominer.com

Hard to tell exact numbers right now since payment is not 100% linear to make it fairer and sometimes adjusted. Ideally join our discord server at https://chat.banano.cc for more discussion, we have a dedicated channel  for this faucet (#fah-bananominer).
I did try to check it up and create and online wallet but suddenly when trying to use the meme faucets it's said that it's temporary closed and the site will provide information if when the faucet will work again, any idea when will that be solved so I'll be able to collect some coins, regards.

Meme faucet is closed, yes. We don't have a schedule but it normally opens 2-3 times a month for few days.

You can find a summary of current faucets here: https://banano.how

Currently open are monkeytalks, Bananominer and Powerplant Mining pool.

I'd recommend joining our discord/twitter/Reddit to not miss any news.

@bantano

I installed the app but only the CPU works. Though GPU was defined. In the tab I looked up the information that CUDO is missing. That is, I can't use AMD GPU? Need to have NVIDIA only? Or if not, the app supports older AMD GPUs up to what series? 7xxx, 6xxx, 5xxx? Or only the most recent?
Also in the log requires to update the driver, but already installed the latest driver that supports 5xxx crimson 16.2.

Checked on another computer, works RX550. I do not understand how to withdraw coins? I entered the address, got the account and the team, and earn points. And where to see how many points is a banano?

I would like to ask, what mining hardware are you using to mine these new Banano coin? Was it the same mining hardware we can use on MRAI coin? Because I am planning to set up my mining rig and still choosing which is the best coin I could mind for this 2019 where most coins aren't worthy to mine at all.
As I know it's CPU minig coin. You can mine it with web-browser (Google Chrome only).
Nothing to install. Just open the page https://bananominer.com/ in the browser and press button "Start Folding".

Some clarification since we have a CPU miningpool and the "BANANO Miner" which uses fold@home:

https://bananominer.com/
BANANO Miner: Earn BANANO while contributing to medical research, CPU&GPU, Folding@Home.

https://powerplant.banano.cc/
BANANO Powerplant: Browser-based altcoin CPU mining paying in BANANO (this one was previously found at the arikado address, if you still use the old one which is fading out payment-wise please switch to the new Powerplant website).

Regarding your comment referring to the BANANO Miner using foldingathome (which uses both CPU and GPU!):
You don't have to install anything, that's true. It's much more comfortable and more compatible to use the desktop client and set a passphrase to get much higher rewards.

I assume no one can objectively quantify the true potential of a project and foresee prices obviously. My opinion is of course biased since I'm in the BANANO core team.

BANANO is a meme coin in the first place, but with more innovation, active development and quite impressive community growth. Now compare that to Dogecoin and its marketcap.

See here updated news and developments since we started one year ago: http://news.banano.how

Otherwise if you download Kalium at https://kalium.banano.cc and then get some free coins at https://monkeytalks.cc/ Faucet button in top right) you'll get an impression how fast and innovative BANANO is. Since every project is telling that it's really hard to believe, I know.

Regarding the mining: This is just the be beginning, but the Mining Faucet is just a temporary thing and it might not go on in that form (and with such big rewards) forever. We just reached the third place of monthly teams at foldingathome - just after two weeks. That will surely give us some attention Wink

You can just try it out at https://bananominer.com
First payment comes automatically after reaching 100 points, then every 12 hours.

https://stats.foldingathome.org/teams-monthly

Otherwise if you have questions let me know.

There are a ton of interesting points before setting off to mine any coin, and one of the interesting point is the genuine estimation of the coin, what I mean is that you have to check what that venture bring to the table to it's client, is it something that even in years to come it would in any case be significant, or is it something that don't generally have a genuine esteem. Would it be wise to risk your processor in mining Banano coin? What is its true potential?

I often hear about banano project,
but I am not interested in banano project because it is still new, if for the next 1 to 2 years it looks good and promising, maybe I will try to mine banano.

I'm mining this token right now, one of the easiest coins to mine, I missed making a huge profit from Nano or the old MRAI so I will not lose my chance here again, I've got more than 1700 Banano, using folder@home browser version, I'm having problem with the software version my computer keeps lagging and it overheat so I shifted to the browser version instead.
