Having that kind of money, in crypto or fiat, and openly saying it puts a target on your back for all those scamers, benign or otherwise

4 years later, I wonder what people's thoughts on this are. I wonder if the original posters held onto and increased their holdings. Since this goal is not doable for most people at current prices I wonder what is considered a reasonable goal for people, still the 1 btc starting benchmark or more?

You can just step out and buy them. $1000 is not huge money, even for somebody in the developing world. If you are looking to make 2.1 bitcoins online through faucets / signature campaigns, it could take quite some time.
I think I don't have the patience to work on faucets. Signature campaigns are still ok for me since I love to join the discussions.
I have a friend who worked on faucets and managed to get about 0.1 BTC before quiting, which I think is already the extreme.

2.1 bitcoin is just a good starting point. I would like to join the 1 million club. When I become one, I will be very proud.
I wish I could be a part with it. I hope later that I can join the club in the future. But it depends on the value of Bitcoin.

Atleast you have a good start and most people don't even have 2.1 bitcoin to begin with!

If the price doubles after the halving it will require twice as much work to do it
Well this is not set in stone that we will see any major increase because of the coming halving.
I mean don't get me wrong.I wish this will happen as well.But we can not be sure about it.
Maybe nothing happens and the halving is already priced in, which I do not believe.

May be in next few years I would be a part of it, but not at present, as I have very few bitcoins at a moment with me, but If I get into bitcoin as a full timer then I can get their in quick time.

Not yet, but who knows what future holds for me and I would be a part of 1 million club, its a difficult goal to achieve but not impossible, If I work on it sincerely I can be a part of it too in future.

Yeah, at a moment we need to work smart so that in future we can be a part of it, as of now, it will require continuous efforts to earn as much bitcoins possible as 1 million club is good milestone to achieve.

no, i dont have anything near to 21 bitcoin, i dont even have 0.21 bitcoin so im pretty far from this aim
