My 470 comes on Tuesday.

The 460 may be a loser for mining from what I read on anandtech.com
Why a GTX 950 can do 13.5 - 14.5 with a mem overclock to 7GHz

I am getting 17.7 eth and 348.9 MH/s SC with sapphire Rx 470 at stock settings with Claymore's dual miner, power usage is between 120-130 watts.

Edit: 21.2 mh eth only mode.

Have you tried overclocking the memory? If so, what is the maximum memory clock speed? If it can be 2000MHz, I might buy some.

You can't the most is like 1650/1700 for the memory.

If the memory speed cannot be overclocked to 1750 or higher then it there is no need to buy this card.

4GB version i guess ?

I might pick up a bunch of those soon.

Sorry should have been more clear, it's 4 GB and from Newegg.

Thats pretty good then, basically the same as the 480 then.

Id expect the 8gb does 24 mh

but the price between 470 and 480 are nearly the same

Usually 4GB cards have lower clocked memory then the 8GB card...

RX480 is a good example...

4GB Card 1750mhz if I remember correctly
8GB Card 2000mhz

470 4GB :  20MH/s
470 8GB :  25MH/s

Why there is such big difference? I thought the memory speed matters, not the amount of the memory,

Got any numbers on powerdraw ?

470 4GB :  20MH/s
470 8GB :  25MH/s

that sounds odd, afaik memory is not important for ETH as long as you can store the DAG in the Memory, or have the 8gig Variants different Designs?

Anyone yet used any RX 470 or RX 460 graphic card to mine Ethereum/Ethereum Classic? As far as I can guess, these two graphics cards are going to be the best ones to GPU mine any profitable altcoin.
