It would not be like Android and 'thermonuclear' war, but you are right, if he can't control it, he does not want it on his platform. I do not agree with this philosophy but the quality of the Apple ecosystem speaks for itself. I will be getting some kind of Android phone to run Bitcoin apps and if it is better then ICS and they can get their phone manufactures to regularly provide updates I might be a convert.
Bitcoin could be a lever in the future that helps get some of the more entrenched iPhone users to switch.
