I can remember how we have been having a drop in the numbers of the merits sources as well as some making complaints over their monthly allocations of merits.

I see that but I am always optimistic about all these applications. We are all trying to support our local communities and power to bitcoin comes from the ground level of acceptance of its use and therefore awareness at the community level is of utmost importance.
I have been trying to keep the Indian section active along with a handful of other dedicated members of this forum who belong to our motherland and we shall not stop till the day the Indians coming to this forum feel welcome in the local section.
I would also encourage any remaining old timers from our country to come in and keep the section active too.

Thanks for the support from an Indian who has been active on the local Indian board and in the forum. I would like to know what you meant by writing the highlighted part here. Frankly, it is a bit confusing for me as the top 10 posts on my local board are created either by me or Bitcoin Smith. I may be wrong here in understanding or comprehending what you meant but if it is related to the top 10 posts of OP then he can quote them in his application. Applying for a merit source does not mean he is not eligible to give merit to global boards which is where he posted his activities on multiple boards in his application.

I also support what my fellow local mate has requested on this thread for a global/local merit source. If anyone is unable to exhaust their merits, please visit our local board we desperately need some merits. We do not have any merit source for a few months now and we are desperately looking for this application to get approved as of now nothing has happened but our local board is suffering which we are trying our level best to get activated again.

To be honest the Indian board needs merit regulation to keep the board active.You and anyone else can distribute merit on local boards, especially on posts that you think are quality and constructive. There are no special regulations about this, except that you cannot send merit to your own alt. The rest is only limited, namely 50 merit for the same user in 30 days.
Let's talk some reality, hypothetically if someone post only in their local board and their local board has no merit sources who are the only one who potentially generate merits every 30 days and all others has to earn 2 merits to provide 1.
In case no active merit source is there and the remaining sMerits from the active members keep decline and at one point it will reach close to zero and in that scenario no matter how good their posts are there is no chance to recieve merits so there's no rank up and whatsoever. That's what happening in Indian local board and we can look at how other boards emerged when they started to have good merit circulation hope that might replicate on Indian board as well.
Maybe in the end the admin will add several new merit sources to replace or add them to the list of new merit sources, but we never know when this will be realized or maybe there won't be any new additions at all.
That's what they're supposed to do, because when looking at the system you will see that many post that worth merited lacks merit, and it's not nice, let their be more English Board merit sources so that they will help to figure out some post that needs to be encouraged with merit and merit them, I do come across of good posters but I don't have smerit to give them and I believe that people who also apply for merit sources do come across such post, from my observation it' seems that majority who is a merit source most of them is been allocated or signed to local communities, because I have observed occasionally some users whom I have not seen their post before in English board but just a sudden they will appear with large numbers of merit in their profile and when you check their merit history they all earned their merit through local board.

There are good posters over there, maybe you should take some time any day and go through their post. Although the board has not been active since there are no merit rewards for members who deserve them. That is why you see most of the Indian members roaming around other discussion boards with such quality posts. If OP has applied for the merit source application with courage and was endorsed by some top merit sources then he is the right man. He should be given a chance to regulate the board properly.
You can report these quality posts to other merit sources that are willing to review posts from various local boards. This approach also allows you to recognize more quality posts that you could use as a condition for applying to become a merit source. But first, I think supporting merit source applications from established users is likely to be better. 
I don't know much about Indian board and the Op as much. But for someone to come out and apply for merit is a bold step and needs to be appreciated but encouraging the person. Ok I can see that you are doing well in the Indian local board and if really the application is granted, I believed you will deliver well in the local board and the forum at large.

It is a big forum out here and knowing everyone is literally impossible, no harm in that and the same is applicable from my side too, I still come across users whose posts I have never read before.I know some names regularly from the forum and the Indian section at present and many previous no inactive users. not everyone here is owning one account as well, most have had owned multiple accounts too.
Lets hope we can make the Indian section active once again and I can deliver merits to the deserving ones efficiently in the near future.
