https://twitter.com/PeterSchiff/status/1377626254619328524

and

Jeremy Allaire spreading the news about usdc adopted by both us federal reserve and us treasury.

I was cautious not to get fooled in the recent April 1st fun, not because I was too wise but, I just choose not to be in the fun because, I would have found a had time deciphering which is a trick and which isn. It was so real on this forum with the series of tricks displayed in this exercise of April 1st and you guys really put in a resources to take the fun to a whole new level. With lots of persons so focused on what they hope to archive from the promising opportunities it April 1st presented, it took only someone not having the requirements needed not to participate.

Simple and easy.

Lol, nice. I have also few jokes (about Binance hack for example) but they mostly from russian crypto community, so many of you here will not get it just because of language barrier.

But anyway, this is nice that April Fools day in crypto (and especially on this forum) is very important day  Grin

So if you have what to add to my list, i will be very appreciated  Cheesy

It's not the most advanced joke, but it gave me a good laugh. There is a Twitter account @DidbitcoinDie where every day there is a tweet from this account just saying "No".

And yesterday :

Simple and easy.

April Fools Day 2021

As a part of my own tradition i want to sort all known (for me) pranks from different crypto services.

1. Forum NFT
Here is main topic - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/introducing-nfts-for-forum-members-5327661

This time Theymos prepared seriously for April Fools and created for us fully operable fNFT exchange. Active users owned personal (like johhnyUA-V nft at start with something like 1000 btc for use  Shocked . They could buy random nft for 50 btc, sell their own and buy for asked price.

I think this one of the best April fools here, at forum

-

-

2. MyEtherWallet

As they often do, it was just a simple visual joke: It had few iterations and for honest i just clicked on "I love vintage" so I'm not sure about another choices
This how it was (in the same sequence):

1. It was like you initially redirecting to old, vintage version

2.

3.

4.

3. Binance

That was enough simple. On their main account was a funny tweet:

4. Trust Wallet

Also, tweet:

That's what i found. As i remember, there was some joke on coinmarketcap, with positions of altcoins in the list, but with all that pump i don't see anything funny in the statement that "Filecoin above Litecoin". This is what can happen with ease  Tongue

So if you have what to add to my list, i will be very appreciated  Cheesy

Could you please provide something on what you base your assumption of 'april fool' ?

~Snipped~
Sure Smiley

- They tweeted that on April 1st.
- They didn't mention that the so-called record belongs to which period.
- It lacks proof or even a simple infographic of some sort.
- Personally, I find it hard to believe that there will be a 300% increase in regard to the number of people going through the KYC process [I already considered the current ongoing situation].

I'm sure there will be an increase but not that significant.

Thank you for that answer.

This confirms me in my opinion that there is nothing certain and that this remains an assumption (date of April 1, no graph and personal feeling).

This remains of little importance, however, and the most important is that the exchanges see their number of new registrants increasing undeniably. (further clarified here by Kraken: 'Everyday, [we’re seeing] more sign-ups, more verification requests, more people funding their accounts, and that to us is a signal that things are heating up.'

Hi Smiley

Could you please provide something on what you base your assumption of 'april fool' ? I really think it's not one, in part due to this kind of article : https://www.forbes.com/sites/billybambrough/2020/04/04/bitcoins-huge-surge-this-week-could-be-the-tip-of-the-iceberg-as-traders-recall-2017-gold-rush/#51b6311b5d40

''Bitcoin exchanges Kraken, OKex, Bitfinex, Paxful, and Luno have all said they've seen an influx of new users since the coronavirus lockdown started, speaking to bitcoin and crypto news website Decrypt earlier this week.

U.S.-based Kraken reported an 83% increase in users'

I will definitely add this to the OP post. Shit, really cringe. So, if it's not him, so who? Someone who, like a terminator, returned himself into the past to create account here to substitute Craig? I think Craig spent to much time in Columbia  Angry

Maybe its good if someone can make a memes of this topic about him not using Bitcoin forum with a caption Forgot password so I cant access it. damn wright! He is spending a lot of times on social media with buzzers keeping him from spreading his wings to dozen of bullshit. I dont know why even publisher uploading this type of news. Clearly many writers are still dont have a tiny bit of information about the real deal of bitcoin. Too sad! Maybe we need to endorsed to register all crypto enthusiasts here prior before engaging on crypto activity.

Thanks for the mentioned but actually it wasn't planned or well planned per se (to be specific) since I couldn't get a signatures and avatar uploaded on the thread neither where there terms and conditions etc to make the thread look more authentic yet it still drew in a lot of audience mostly since the payout were very mouthwatering and all visible.

Thought about the prank minutes after I got infected with the forum viruse and had few minutes to come up with everything before I got on with my daily routines. I love the safety/prevention message I was able to pass across and glad no one took offense of the prank as everyone laughed. Also used the thread to spread some smerit love to all those that contributed in giving the thread more audience since it got many attention as more forum users were contributing (they must have thought, it was them applying for a slot).

I felt no offense, at least not on my side, besides a little disappointment that I don't get a chance to join one of the best paid sig campaigns out here!

To be honest, I was so sleepy when I found your thread that if you had posted rules and everything like a normal campaign, I would've most likely written a participation reply without even knowing it's the 1st of April Cheesy Don't worry, I can help you prank the forum next year but make sure you don't tell anyone Wink

Hi OP I think this one should be added also.

It is a myth that all the posts on Bitcointalk (bitcointalk.org) from my account (Satoshi) are in fact mine and have not been edited or changed and that the login on the website belongs to me. Satoshi (I) never used Bitcointalk. My final post, in fact, links to a domain that does not exist.

On a serious note. Craig Wright now saying he (Satoshi) doesnt use account here on forum. Wow this is the biggest April Fool I ever heard. This is the top 1. I thought it was ended yesterday but they still publishing fools articles.

Ahaha, "what a story Mark!"  Grin

And I thought CMC and BTCTalk were the only ones! Apparently most websites & services have prepared a little prank for each of us Cheesy

Great to see a little humor out here during these saddening pandemic times. I guess we all deserve a little smile or laugh right now. Gave you all a little merit for putting a smile on my face with these pranks. Now I gotta keep them & stake them up - I don't like running out of sMerits to give! Lips sealed
