Do they have their executives, PR and office staff on the floor putting rigs together, or in the shipping department packing boxes?
Judging solely by the long delivery times? I'd have to guess... "No, they don't".

Mining since May 2011.

Note:  We're currently focused on the shipment of our Mini Rig product and won't be able to field questions for a few days but we'll be back with answers to any questions.

Kind regards,
BFL

How about also focusing on your shipment of singles that your website says takes 4-6 weeks to deliver. Your current shipping time is roughly around 70 days. Pretty sure 70 days isn't in your 4-6 week range. Can I get my F'ing singles sometime before ASICs come out......

Doesn't anybody find this statement strange in the sense of what does production/shipping have to do with PR?

Well I did notice this on their website: http://www.butterflylabs.com/jobs/

But they already have your money, why the hell should the deal with you anymore?
Exactly.

I'll find it very bloody amusing, not, if I get the hardware from 'another' company which I put a purchase request in - with no money upfront required - a couple of days ago before I get the BFL single ordered a month ago.

If they received any venture capital, they would have had to file an exempt distribution form with the SEC. They have not done this. A search for "Butterfly" in EDGAR reveals nothing of Butterfly Labs, Inc.

C'mon, guys, if you did a financing, let us know the details...

Ah, the LargeCoin guy.  Haven't heard anything from you for quite a while. Maybe you can give us an update about YOUR state, preferably on YOUR thread?

We have officially announced our upcoming ASIC based SHA256 products today.  Here's the press release with most of the relevant details:

1)    BitForce SC Jalapeno: a USB powered coffee warmer providing 3.5 GH/s, priced at under $149

2)    BitForce SC Single: a standalone unit providing roughly 40 GH/s, priced at $1,299

3)    BitForce SC Mini Rig: a case & rack mount server providing 1 TH/s, priced at $29,899

This strikes me as very odd. You could make a much higher profit margin. Why on earth would you price these this low?

You seem to have delivered, if a bit tardily, so far, but this just leaves me stunned. Pricing this low cannot make any sense for your bottom line.

They pretty much guaranteed market dominance. Maybe they want these devices sent out to as many people as possible to protect the network sooner from the possibility of interference. With all the venture capital they have received they will want to protect their investment and that means protecting bitcoin.

For all you know, it was a DBA.

Question: Will the ASIC still work once all coins have been generated ?

Yes.
And you won't be alive to see the day anyway, so why does it matter?

From what I understand, the difficulty adjusts based on network speed, and the whole point of difficulty is to stop a single node from having too much power over the network ?

Question: Will the ASIC still work once all coins have been generated ?

BACK ON TOPIC...

So 3 months less than what "most people have estimated"... I've seen estimates for 12 months from now, or that we won't see them till 2013 (6 months from now). Even going with the later one, that puts their product to be released in Sept, 3 months from now.
