crypto faucets are websites or applications that typically distribute small amounts of cryptocurrency to users who complete captcha challenges. The rewards from crypto faucets are so small, so small that it may not be worth the time and effort invested. Moreover, scams that exploit users by collecting personal information have been encountered. If crypto faucets show a small amount of earning potential that is limited and users should use discretion in addition to the safety of the people involved.

well, considering the amount you can earn (few fraction of cent per click), the time they take (which you take away from more profitable activities), I don't think there's any real benefit to using them.
if you want to use them to get some free coins (and understand how wallets and transactions work) ok they make sense, otherwise they are not really convenient.
you can earn probably much much more just offering services on the web or using amazon turk.
I think that "faucet era" it's something outdated Sad

If we are the one who do that or other experience guy on crypto provably they will just say that its just a waste of time doing that faucets since it doesn't give any big profits to us. But since OP is newbie its really better for him to start with small things and once he can earn decent amount which can be use for upgrade then maybe he should try other thing that can generate him some good profits. For sure we all experience this situation and majority of newbie like OP will seek for another platform to spend their time once they earn enough knowledge about many things on crypto.
I agree.
Faucets are good for the newbies to have a good start and appreciate small things. Although it certainly is a waste of time upon realization as a newbie, they're all good for it and think that it's a good way to accumulate even in the smallest amount that they can.
We've been there and done that and it was enjoyable and fun when you've got no other things to do.

In fact wasting your precious time to solve Captchas and sitting in front of your computer for these is really not worth it.
You ca use some automation Bots at https://topaibots.top to fetch you some real coins without being in front of computer.
however it works only on Windows, but can also work in Windows VPS without anyone being logged in
As long as we enjoy what we are doing, it's not a waste of time. OP is a newbie so faucets are a perfect way for him to practice and get familiarized with crypto. I remember when I was a newbie, I really enjoyed claiming a crypto in a faucet because the cryptos that we get there have a real time value. They are legit as long as you are also claiming on a legit website.

It's not necessary to use a computer but any device as long as it has an internet and browser will work just fine. Mobile phone can be a good option because faucets doesn't need to be focused at but we can only claim them after some time. Never heard before that a bot can claim a faucet but are you sure they are allowed?

Faucets used to be a fun thing to do until 2013. Then, after Bitcoin boomed, they became pretty much a waste of time. It probably costs you more to run your computer just to click the Claim button than the amount you receive when you claim it.

Linking it as price impact is not the right thing, because what happened is that in the past there were no ways to advertise using bitcoin, and the ability to withdraw bitcoin to dollars was a little complicated, you could mine bitcoin with your device and then use it to promote your services, which is free.
On the other hand, the second party can use his phone or computer to watch ads for a small profit, and so on. It is the wheel of supply and demand and the available options.

Look, signature campaigns are widespread here, especially gambling, because it is difficult to promote these services outside the forum using Bitcoin, and as the forum represents a huge database, once there are alternatives, it will be more difficult to join these campaigns.

I recently came across a way to get free cryptocurrencies, which is through crypto faucets.

I'm not that mature in the crypto world but want to own some crypto and start my journey in this space. After so much research, I got to know that there are many websites called crypto faucets which reward users with crypto for performing several tasks on their platform.

I found an article at "https://moneybinds.com/best-crypto-faucets/". I thoroughly read the article and it was pretty convincing. I just want to get some more opinions whether it is a proven method to earn free cryptocurrencies, and if yes, will it be worth my time and efforts on those platforms?

Yes they are worth it long term. You never know when the market might turn too.

There are many crypto casinos who give this out so its up to you.

Our crypto casino TrustDice (founded in 2018) gives free crypto too.

You can check it out here and other bonuses if you wish.

After opening the link you provided, it seems that there are still many Faucet websites that provide free crypto coins, but of course in very small amounts.
Some of the faucet websites on the website include the Gambling website.
In my opinion, the best Faucet website is Freebitcoin and this is a website that has been around for quite a while now. Giving Bitcoins for free every hour.

Faucets are good but they wont pay you much rather i think you can engage in doing some bounties, there are different types bounties you can do, like article, if you are good in writing, youtube video, etc,
They're more likely an introduction to the ones that you're explaining what crypto or bitcoin is. The same goes with bounties, they won't pay a lot just as the faucets.

But if you're patient enough to collect all of those rewards you'll get from both of it, that's your decision which you think is fine or not.

i think the time you will put in doing those faucets when put to doing bounties will pay you more in the end
You're unsure with it as well because not all bounties are paying.

It's not literally free since you have to do small tasks before getting some tokens. These tasks, although they are easy to do, the time you will spend completing them will often be more important and more valuable than the tokens you will get. In other words, it would be better to spend time doing paid work than doing time-wasting tasks.

In the past, those faucets were profitable, especially those that gave free satoshis, which became very old after the price of Bitcoin multiplied many times. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible, and most of the faucets give free new currencies that have no value at the present time, and you will have to wait for the currency project to succeed and reach the trading platforms in order to be able to exchange it. It's a real waste of time.

You'll be asking OP if it was worth it. I would say NO, it is a waste of time and many times I'm doing this, well, I get some but if you are considering your time as precious, you'll never see it was worth enough to spend with. Honestly, it will lose your bright day thinking of it and waiting for nothing. It is very simple, if you use your time wisely, better spend it learning to trade rather than finding faucets and joining airdrop in order to earn free coins. Don't get fool with that promises and convincing words as it was just on the paper, not the real thing to happen.

I just want to get some more opinions whether it is a proven method to earn free cryptocurrencies, and if yes,
It is a proven method that you can earn dust amounts for free so if that's the question, then the answer is a yes.

will it be worth my time and efforts on those platforms?
For me, it's not worth my time anymore. Faucets are good for newbies just to know that this is possible to earn and they'll have a glance and a way of earning a few of these cryptos. But if you're going to make it as a source of income, you gotta need a lot of spare to collect such decent amount on it.

Most crypto faucets, which offer free cryptocurrencies in exchange for completing certain tasks or solving captchas, are generally not worth the effort. While they may provide a small amount of cryptocurrency, the rewards are usually minuscule and don't justify the time and resources invested. It's more efficient to explore other avenues, such as investing or trading, to accumulate cryptocurrencies.

Some are genuine because i know a close pal who use to collect a dust of matic and other alts from a site and he was able to use the matic for transaction fees. But the only downside of faucet this days is the amount you will get, unlike before that you get a decent amount, this days you can hardly get anything meaningful. I see it as a waste of time now.

Genuine? Some of them. Worth it? Not at all.

The time you spend doing faucet claiming can be SO much better spent doing other things. Things like offering services for money and investing it in BTC. Hell, open a lemonade stand and you get more money lol.

Also keep in mind many faucets are only temporarily active & existing. Some of them used to allow you to create an account & add up sats until a minimum threshold for withdrawal but the withdrawal never happened because the site closed before anyone could reach it. Worth keeping that in mind.

Faucet is the simplest way to get Crypto, although sometimes there is a task to do to get crypto for free and quickly. Only the value is very small. It may not correspond to the time you use.
To get Crypto without buying, you can join a Bounty campaign or work on tasks at Zealy.

Faucets are real and if you have time you can start your crypto journey from there, but the thing about faucets is that you won't get rich from Faucets you might be paid few dollars after spending a lot of time on the sites, I will advise you to go for bounties, bounties is tasking but more rewarding than Faucets and you can do as many as 100 bounties is a month so if you get $10 reward from each that is $1000 per month just do your research before joining many of them now because there are a lot of time wasting and useless bounties. BCT use to be a good place to earn decent amount of money from Bounties before but now it is increasingly becoming difficult to enter, find quality and rewarding bounty.

In general i would say that faucets are definitely not worth it, at least in my opinion. With most faucets you can usually claim like once per day and every claim is worth only a few cents at max most of the times even only fractions of cents. So you would need to claim from the faucet for probably a few weeks or even months until you have a few dollars on your wallet. If you are coming from a 3rd world country, then this could maybe still be attractive to you, but for the most people i would guess it is just a waste of time.
Of course there is also the possibility, that those coins that you get from a faucet will do a x1000 or even more in a few years so those few cents could be a few hundred dollars then, but that chance is slim to none of course.
