of course girls using bitcions. There are plenty of them in the Twitter crypto-community

There's a twitter crypto community? The only one I knew about was weird twitter and I was banned from that community a long time ago for being too weird.

Guess it's time to set up a fake account and pretend to be a girl to get BTC

is he joking? nobody is sure!

The vast majority of users of bitcoin are male. This is partly because most users are very technically inclined and stereotypically this is a male interest.

There was even a thread on this forum that lists the red flags of a potential scammer and one of them is that someone uses a name that is clearly female.

Amusing, but to be fair she is probably in the 1% bracket, so she is an exotic animal at that meetup as a matter of fact. And hey, one hen amongst 99 roosters, what can you expect?  Wink

she claims to be a bitcoin enthusiast then writes a negative article about a hug hey I'm sure it was a really mean hug don't get me wrong!

It is mostly men just because the current supporters of BTC are mostly techies, and as many of us already know, techies are mostly men.

Like with most things geeky, it is usually predominantly male. I wonder about Facebook though (due to all the gossiping of course) LOL

Facebook prototype wasn't Facebook but posting pictures of female classmates and rating them, IIRC.

Yup, Zuckerberg stole the idea from the Winklevii's "Harvard Connection" after his unsuccessful "hot or not" clone.
