MenaPay - Crypto made easier than cash
I genuinely do not believe I've ever read one ICO proposal that had me nodding and thinking, man, why didn't I think of that?

Every single one is a solution looking for problems that do not exist. If they do have some merit the chances are thousands of conventional companies are doing the exact same thing perfectly competently right now and not demanding free money from you to do it.
Totally agree! But unfortunately a lot of people, knowing and understanding this, still carry money to the ICO and nothing stops them. Everyone wants to invest money in order to multiply them very quickly, but not everyone succeeds. Now, for example, it is generally rare. - "Do you want to lose money, invest it in ICO"

I think it depends on the whole project. Starting a business is not easy to operate. To build it, there are many problems first. It requires a lot of time to successfully establish it. When the ICO is established, it tries to solve humanity problems.

it really depends on the project for ourselves. Starting a business at startups is not a quick job, so-called startups are ready to deal with many problems with a business relationship. You will need more time to accumulate and towards a successful startup. For me It's not wrong to be a part of the cryptocurrency dealer, people have their own decision to choose their way of earning money.

I don't know what kind of problems icos can solve as they are problematic themselves, i have taken part in one ico once but i have never faced a bounty campaign that was a scam, i am  a lucky one still)

You are really fortunate not to have participated in a scam ICO before in this era when scam projects are all around us. Thank your stars. Our concern here is that, most projects  lose their main focus  even after a successful ICO campaigns.

The long time vision of almost all ICO projects' main aim is to provide solutions to some of the problems  facing humanity in the area of health, education  etc. Despite this main motive of most projects, most  tokens end up at the exchanges for only trading without being used for their intended purposes.

Wrong, their main aim is to make a profit.  Roll Eyes  This is also one of the reason why more than 90% of them fail. They start out as a project with very ambitious goals to change the world, but that is quickly forgotten, when the money starts rolling in. Many of them are blatantly scamming people and the whole, changing the world thing is just a bunch of smoke and mirrors.  Roll Eyes

Let's just face it... only a very small percentage of them will change the world.  Roll Eyes

Pretty sad to hear this...

Well ideally as many people have said, the various ICOs have a loot of goodies outlined on whitepaper, but they don't accomplish in reality. I think that's because of people who invest in ICOs (investments in any form, bounty, token sale, airdrop, etc). When we get the tokens, the first thing people think about is when mooning, when binance, when "whatever", and this happens on day 1 after ICO ends. Almost everybody loose track of the progress of the project, and all their focus are on when the coins they got will make them build their dream mansion. I think this year has thought us a lot including all these and so we need to start seeing crypto in a different way other than for trading(it's very important though) and for a " get-quick-now" venture.
Anyways one other reality is that, many of them also just are hungry for money so they scam and leave contributors srranded.

Blockchain is becoming popular with great innovation to existing projects. Today if a survey is conducted to know the number of people who know about blockchain technology, the numbers will be tripled as compared to previous years. Blockchain technology is indeed becoming more popular almost everyday.
Bitcoin and the other altcoins have really done well to keep  blockchain technology growing. Providing solutions to existing problems is an important aspect of blockchain technology that really fascinate me.

it depends on how the team from ico is using the tokens that they make using ico, if the team is only pursuing the profit I think the initial concept of ico will not be well realized. maybe the concept should go so well that the finished ico can help solve human problems and provide solutions.

In my opinion, if the project is really very serious, with a great idea, and an experienced and hardworking team is behind it, then certainly this ICO can solve the problem of mankind, and not just benefit for itself.

I'm not sure, but every project has a roadmap. The team has a big responsibility for realizing every one to run well.
but there are still many scam ICOs, they just need money and eventually leave.

99% of them are just looking for cash grab, usually they work hard but once ico has ended - I dunno but they seem like they lose motivation or something. Whatever they claim, never comes into fruition.

Agree.  At the end of the day, it's the remaining 1% that we all hope for (and look for), which might help changing the world a bit.

when you read about the ICOs like reading their topic, website and paper, you can see that they are solving a lot of issues. many of which are interesting. but when you check out their projects and see what they are really doing you can see that it was all fake and only a way of advertising their shitty token to make money from gullible people.
so far not a single ICO has done anything but raise money, dump and go away.

I believe so, but this depends on what you are really trying to emphasize here. "Problems of Humanity" as a whole is quite impossible to solve as life is full of problems. Sometimes deliberately done others just accidentally happened and some are just the after effect of what problem has been done before it. But if you would be talking about solving problems not in its totality, I would definitely say yes. It did. A friend of my brother-in-law was able to pay for her wifes hospital charges after giving birth. It is quite a coincidence when it happened. And that was just good. Others have bought for them a house and lot. And that was there long time problem. Not totally but in some ways it really did help a lot.

Yes, but unfortunately the popularity of cryptocurrency can only be seen from the benefits alone, for example is the investment, not from its usefulness.

Theoretically speaking, yes. They are bringing new implementations of blockchain technology to the society. Problems were addressed like the elimination of the middleman in e-commerce, paying services thru blockchain and tokenizing stuffs. Similar to the internet where it was created 3 decades ago, it wasn't accepted immediately. In the future, if the adoption goes well, who knows if we would benefit from the cryptocurrency we considered shitcoin today.

Maybe, there is a little help but I think it cannot really totally solve the problem of humanity wherein only the power of government in a certain country could somehow initiate good governance to address the humanitarian problem like unemployment, poverty alleviation and other socio economic problem. As a bounty hunter, I had a bad experience with my other ICO bounty campaign such as GREENISH since I had finished the bounty campaign period and just left without any notice. I hope these ICO's should be screened properly prior to let them joined in the forum to prevent from people being scammed.

ICO scammers will do anything to lure their victims, so there are many flavors of ICO promises. Some just bombard potential investors with buzzwords like "universal decentralized blockchain AI platform with machine learning and VR technologies", others are taking existing problems but don't explain exactly how they would solve them, they just say "blockchain will revolutionize it", and then there's a lot of project with really far-fetched ideas that simply try to slap blockchain on to anything imaginable - pets, sports, farming and so on.

I think at some point, it could somehow help solve a bit to people joining ICO mostly in signature bounty campaign whereby gaining profit from their token rewards after the and of the campaign period. Without ICO, these forum might not be the way it is now since most people are here because people are participating from this signature bounty campaign. For those who are unemployed are now earning profit because of this technology that gives opportunity to the people. For those investors that are planning to earn generous profit, this is the chance by achieving such goal by investing through ICO's.
