"September has seen the least amount of funds raised by #ICOs in more than a year. Are ICOs dying off?"

Chart here: https://twitter.com/Bancor/status/1049690978213404673
In September, of course , very few projects that have collected even softcap , but now things are a little better , I hear many projects are beginning to collect softcap and it pleases, I think the flowering is now ico and not dying !

During 2018 many ICOs experienced delays and even failed. They have difficulty in raising funds and of course, this is a result of a decrease in market prices. Many investors decide to leave the market because generating profits is very difficult. But I think by 2019 there will be many ICO projects that can be successful.

It is 21 of Febrary now and ICOs are still alive. Still many projects raise millions of dollars, nothing changes, crowdfunding would live forever.
May be it will change in IEO, when coins are sold via exchanges because it is more attractive to investors when token is already listeed.

I feel like I didn't participate in ICOs for years))) Now the hype of ICOs has been gone. Dapps hype is a next big thing I guess. Just take a look around - there are so many dapps and many of them have really good traffic and volumes.
because currently ICO is not good even though not all projects are bad.
many of them left the ICO and did not participate anymore because of various things that had happened.
and they are currently not easy to join anything before researching, well that's good because we have to know the bad things that will happen.

In the long run in the direction of the scam projects, I can say that this will be the case and we all the same will constantly see that the ICO processes all the same will constantly deteriorate and continue to do so.
I think in the future, most ico will be regulated, since there are a lot of scams, I think ico will live, as there are many projects that want to show a good product to people

This is funny and i like it. ICOs aren't actually dying off. What i noticed is that unlike before people or investors buy any ICO that comes across their way without doing any research about the project, it's use case ,the team backing up the project, but now people  have learnt due to so much losses ,they don't waste their money on projects not worth it.This has reduced the number of scam ICOs. They look for good projects which are out in the space.

No, not all ICOs die. The number of ICOs that have been successful compared to previous years has decreased considerably. However, there are ICOs that are successful even in this low market. So, I think that we should not think all ICO's bad, just we should do more careful research before joining an ICO at this time.
I honestly see some ICOs that are really profitable for this year. well, there are even some ICOs that have quite high prices, such as the content protocol. well, there are still many more good ICO projects, I just feel the ICO development is slowly starting to rise.
No man, they are dying slowly.. It it obvious to accept the fact regarding the cases about scam ICOs after last all time high levels on Bitcoin prices. Developments are also delayed due to same reasons behind why teams can't collect enough money for reaching soft cap.

The hype around ICOs have been put behind, as a lot of people and investors have lost huge amount of money to projects that turned out to be scam. To confuse investors and the general public to invest in ICO projects is almost not possible which is the reason why most ICO projects are unable to reach their hardcap nowadays. Until, necessary regulations are done to regulate the rate of scam in the crypto world, lot of people will see ICO project not deem fit for investment.

Since from the start ico are too risky, once there is an involve money risk is always there.
I think even ICO last year became bad in  the sight of many here in the community, it doesn't mean ico will
gonna die, of course. Its part of the cycle here in this field of industry. And in fairness ico now was good compared
2018 honestly speaking.

Investing in ICOs  has indeed become very dangerous. It seems to me that investors simply ceased to be interested in this way of earning.

It is more like investors have become more picky with their investments. Since we are still in a bear market, a lot of funds are probably still stuck in and investors simply try to choose the best projects (base on their research) to invest their remaining funds.

They are not dying off but i think due to the presence of many scam project in the system of late, many investors are losing interest in most ICO's. This will continue till there is a change in perception out there on scam project out there.

It’s been a market funded by scams and manipulation for quite some time now. I think newbies are finally getting fatigue of burning their money in pursuit of easy profits.

I think that's one factor. Many developers have been really using ICOs as a vehicle to carry out their dark plans. Maybe, some don't share the same objective, but then, since many projects have been failing, many developers resort to scamming and getting the better out of other people. Some do it indirectly, like for example, when these developers don't have a clear objective, which in turn, would lead for their projects to die and not progress, while on the other hand still attracting people to invest only to see the doom of their investments. That being said, I also think that the reason why many ICOs are dying is from the fact that there are so many similar projects these days that there is no originality anymore to gain a niche in the market.

dying? seems dead. see how many projects were successful after listing?
almost 100% of the new tokens in the listing price were destroyed. no one can get profit from ICO investments. so isn't that worse than dying

Ico is fading. i don't think it will disappear completely. market demand is diverse. a few years later, ICO is likely to become popular. it makes the market prosperous.
