I think that they do work with gambling sites. As you can see, there are many gambling sites run their campaign for more than a year. It is very attractive and potential since it makes more people to pay attention to links if it keeps appearing on the forum. I do not why other forum do not use this platform
No, there are many general money making forums are already into signature campaigns. Signature campaigns are not new due to bitocintalk. Some 10 years back itself, have seen some freelancing jobs asking to create accounts in some forums and wearing signature to post some 10 to 25 times.

It means signature campaign are proven for effectiveness for years and if it is not so, we would not been having these many active campaigns right now.

I believe running a Signature Campaign here in the forum is much cheaper than advertising in google adsense or other advertisement company that's why most of the businesses are choosing to run a campaign instead.
Not really!Advertising on google or any other ad agency is much cheaper than signature campaigns. Many campaigns spend more than 1 btc a week to pay their participants and yet the choose to continue doing the same.
Reason is simple : You get the niche crowd, the type of crowed you exactly need to advertise your product with. There is no other place on internet but bitcointalk where you get the most bitcoiners from all over the world.

Advertising signature campaign was not a waste of money actually, it is very helpful and very effective promotion, and sometimes good background design can give attraction for the community to click it. because if this things was not a good idea, I think signature campaign here will no longer appear in the forum.
Theymos has stated it,the campaigns will continue even when the stuff is migrated  to the newer forum.

Across the board, I don't know the true value of signature campaigns, but I can say that unlike ads I see outside of the forum, I've clicked on quite a few sigs. Mainly because I know most aren't referrals and most lead to information that's at least relevant, if not always useful. I've even joined some sites as a member purely as a result from their exposure on sigs.

Of course signature campaigns works, I think if you really study in Business Marketing, you will understand that companies does need to advertise to let peoples know about the brand, or maybe leave them an impression of the brand at least in their mind, and the company might have a chance to get a loyal customer if the customer like the site, and I do get to know a lot of sites from other users signature on this forum.
Indeed, of course it is really helpful. And in every business sectors promoting through advertising was the number one methods so the person may know earlier what does the business promoting it.  Especially in gambling world it is really and very effective actually.

I really wonder this. I never clicked a signature ad and am wondering if it works for gambling sites. I need to be enlightened in this topic, because it looks like a waste of money to me.

I have previously been part of a signature campaign of a relaunch Dice Site in which I was also part of. And I have observe the effectiveness of a signature campaign because I am seeing the growth of it.

1st Week of the Campaign : 15 Online Members
2nd-3rd Week: 21 Online Members
6th-7th Week: 38 Online Members
10th-11th Week: 52 Online Members

I got this numbers because I got curious if Signature Campaigns really work for a Dice Site, and Based on my observation it does. Also we are only 25 positions available for that Campaign that is limited to 30 posts to get paid. Also I have observe this all on the same time weekly in order to be accurate with those numbers.

Obviously if you're not a type of a guy who likes to gamble there's no reason for you to check out the signature link. It's not a waste of money to run a signature campaign, once you create a campaign and target a certain area for your product to be seen by the members. Guaranteed they will click the bait.

That is why we can see different types of advertisements in the signatures, and the reason is clear, because every company/website wants to attract particular target of customers.
It is only up to us, what kind of services do we  exactly need from the bitcoin related projects.
However we should never tolerate any kind of aressive campainings where the signatures literally spam the big part of the forum interface.
Also, we should not see any obvious scam in someones signature, but im afraid we cannot do anything about it, except reporting the user.

Some of you have mentioned that you never click on the signatures but rather recognize them and remember the business name. This is exactly how it's intended to work.
Campaigns are not made to make you click and make an account, although it would be great for the owner. They are made to work on your subconsciousness and make you read the signature while you're reading the post and register it in your brain. If you think about it i'm sure you're able to make up the names of a few sig campaigns, although you've never been to these sites.

It is very logical actually, if signature campaign wasn't effective why there still some other coins appeared every month on bitcointalk forum? which means it is really working, especially in this industry even other community are not totally a gambler but for the sake of having a Bitcoin profit they will go unto it because of its advantage of having it.

They must be bringing traffic to the sites they're promoting and it can be easily counted by traffic monitors. The easiest answer is that they have to be working or casinos wouldn't pay for them.
Is it worth the money is another question, because I bet you can get cheaper advertising through forum banners for once.
I think signature campaign has a big help if your business is related in bitcoin also base in moz it more people wearing your signature campaign can gives you more authority in your site.. so if you want for fast traffic signature campaign is a good way to promote it related in bitcoin..
sometimes the results might not be archieved immediately but they still drive new members to their websites and

it also becomes easy to make a recommendation of the site to friends if you see the signature quite often
Yes, It's not confirmed that you will definitely achieve your success through this signature campaign method rather there have a chance it will go to loss or dump. Being successful invest good money, management overall nicely looking of your site etc will help you.

I believe signature campaigns definitely bring customers to different gambling sites. As we can observe in the service section of this forum, there are a lot of signature campaigns which are hosted by several gambling sites. They will not do this in the first place if they are getting nothing from it. Signature campaigns act as an advertisement for them just like tv commercials. People tend to notice more about a certain site if they are always seeing it in different threads here in Bitcointalk.
Well said it is one form of promoting their sites and specially they choose the great design to catch the eyes of many users here and they click the site promoting by each users, more users more potential income in gambling sites. That is why 1 gambling sites starts in signature campaign to gather more playing in their sites.

Not just for gambling sites. As you can see, there are lots of businesses who runs a Signature Campaigns. There are Bitcoin Exchange Sites, New Altcoins, bitcoin related businesses and other who runs Signature Campaign. This makes their sales to increase because more and more people are knowing their site because of that campaign as an advertisement.

I believe running a Signature Campaign here in the forum is much cheaper than advertising in google adsense or other advertisement company that's why most of the businesses are choosing to run a campaign instead.

It's not waste of money. I never click on signature, but I've found lots of gambling sites because i saw site in signature and did some research before i decided to sign up. Signatures actually pointed sites to me.
I also found a number of services and a number of gambling sites because of the banners in the signature campaign and I often consider them as  the powerful services because they know how to give success to their site while those services who do not know how to promote or do not have money for promotion then why to rely on them!
