I really wonder this. I never clicked a signature ad
But many do click on them including me.

am wondering if it works for gambling sites
Yes it must be working because if not they can simply stop signature ads but most of them are running this ads for years.

it looks like a waste of money to me.
No i don't think it is waste of money because signature ads here are highly convertible for bitcoin related sites.

I'll just add it's not about advertising, it's about letting people know you're legit
Advertising is not about advertising? That's strange.

First thing you do when you encounter a new website is google "name scam or legit"
This way the website proves it pays!
Not only their gamblers but people who wear their signature
Clicks from the signature are just a bonus
Your logic is - people see signature, then they search on google "scam or legit" and it's bonus if they click on signature? Does it really matter where they click? IMO more important question is - did they sign up because they've seen site in signature.

People know the website is paying, the website leader has a good trust on bitcointalk and people will more easily deposit onto his site
What about new sites and new signature campaigns? Can you tell new site is legit because they are running signature campaign?

It's all about the 'legitness' of a site, not advertising (which is a bonus)
And you had betcoinag's signature. Isn't it ironic?

Sorry m8 but signatures are advertising.

Many clicks on signature ad if they find it interesting and people here wants to give a try to any new bitcoin related service including gambling platforms.

Also this forum is the only place where advertisers can get targeted bitcoin users to promote their bitcoin casino or gambling site. And i think signature ads here are worth for advertisers.

Many of signature campaigns that i have worked on before my current one promoted exactly gambling sites. Probably because that's the most profitable cind of business and such sites can allow to themselves to create signature campaigns to promote their sites throug bitcoin users. I think today I am the first time in the campaign which promot an exchanger.

You must also add it's very well targeted
Bitcoin sites on a bitcoin forum
Many gamblers also
Plus it shows on all your posts, all of the posts you made
That's a very powerful tool  Cheesy

On adsense you pay for 1 click, and it's gone
Here, your signature will keep being displayed for a while
And the trust ratings, and posts hang in a lot after the campaign has been shut down (if it does so)

one of the main ideas of the signature campaigns on bitcointalk (the most popular and the largest bitcoin forum in the world)
is branding, you pay for your site/company presence, the longer your signature campaign is running
the more stable and trusted your business usually is,with a few exceptions,of course
there is also a steady number of people who sign in through signatures on a weekly basis
for a casino it is around 100-200 signups, depending on how new the site is,how catchy is the signature itself etc.
you can add to this brand recognition "victims" who do not make decisions spontaneously, but read about the site they want to play on
read reviews, ask other players and then register, even if they don't come to the site through the direct click

can't speak about non-gambling sites as I don't have enough data, but for dice sites and casinos
signature campaigns cost around 0.5-1 bitcoins per week
a single gambler who signs up and plays on a regular basis for a long time, could pay for a few weeks of advertising easily
so to sum it up:yes they are working, but it is different from site to site
for example if you are a start up with 10 bitcoins bankroll, wasting 0.5 bitcoins weekly on such a promotion would be... unwise

These gambling sites get the most exposure through signature campaigns and most of them offer affiliate bonus and some credit the users in their gambling account which increases the number of registrations and investment. It works better than giveaways and other bonuses offered as people get aware of the website as well and their traffic increases.

I really wonder this. I never clicked a signature ad and am wondering if it works for gambling sites. I need to be enlightened in this topic, because it looks like a waste of money to me.
Its not a waste of money,
Gambling site making some signature campaign and other campaign because they want to get more exposure of their from the community.
yes its helping their business because they have been exposed every time the campaigner post from any thread inside the forums,
it will gather attraction for new players to try the gambling since they are paying for signature campaigners and provably they have
enough funds to pay the players just in case they win inside the site, im not saying everyone but most of the legit campaigns.

In case of you. But in case of others, they are.

The advertisement covered the whole entity of people including those interested and uninterested. That is the challenge of advertisement, if they can reached those interested people and try whatever included in those advertisement. Waste of money if the result is not good, but for other that is effective. If majority of the cases result as a failed one then we should seeing some advertisement now.

I don't see advertising in any form as waste of money.
If they find at least one whale who will sign up because of signature i would say it is good spent money.

Think of it this way, If it wasn't profitable, why would they waste their money? this is valid for every service and not only gambling. Those[1] are the statistics from the Adslots that theymos sell in the auction rounds, you can see how much traffic and clicks they
get and judge by yourself, signature campaign generate ever more because they are more visible and multiple people wear them.

With the population of users here in the forum you can actually entice some members to join in your gambling site. With a budget, good pay rate, a good campaign manager, and good quality posters members who will campaign your site, surely it will be a huge success. And also try to promote your site through facebook campaign and twitter campaign.

Its not a total waste. Advertising your website is a crucial part in marketing strategies. If people dont know about your website then all of your other offers will be a nonsense. So it is necessary. I say Signature campaign, social media campaign and a sign up bonus is mandatory.

If you are running a business you need to advertise to let every know that a business is running and thereby attract people and that is what signature advertisement is doing ,not only gambling sites are advertised here ,since it is a bitcoin forum site ,any business relating to bitcoin does advertise here to get a head start and if you think marketing and advertisement is a waste of money then there is nothing more to say.

Metawin.com - Truly the best casino ever
At first you asked this question in wrong section.
When you are making business or website, you need to advertise to make it known for everyone. Gambling websites which are advertised here, are bitcoin based so this website is great place for their to advertise. It's you who don't clicks on signatures but when I was firstly here, I was very interested in them and I was clicking and I click now if it seems interesting for me.
For signature campaign, you need good manager and participants. If it is waste of money as you think, no one silly to run signature with high payment without profit.
