We keep saying islam is violence as it promotes it among its followers. I think its not true. If you believe this then you're no different from the terrorists that also follows this kind of understanding of islam. Islam, as a lot of muslim friends taught me, preaches respect much like christianism.

That's actually called "Taqqya" - lie to promote Islam.
Instead of "listen for what they say", just read their books, they're widely available.

But yes, there're good Muslims, but that's because the problem is not on the people, it's on Islam itself.

Ofcourse not. When people saw muslim in a public places, it seems like they always feel feared and uneasy. It is because they treat muslims as terrors. Which is some kind of a discrimination.

Muslim are not the only religion to be involved in terrorism, there are plenty of them which we do not know because our mindset were only focusing in a small picture of terrorism that involves muslim.

Making explosives is easy as hell, an average person just won't know what dairy products to mix and at what proportions.
That's the major problem about terrorism; it's cheap as cheap can be. A few liters of "some stuff", a bag of rusty nails and you're good to go. The most "expensive" piece is the idiot to blow himself along with it.
On the other hand monitoring terrorism is extremely costly and hard to do.

There are various causes of terrorism. There are ethnic like genocides in Africa, crime-related like drug violence in Mexico and then there's religious terrorism. Granted, Islam have no monopoly in religious terrorism. For example, Christian mobs had torn down a pagan temple in Alexandria before.

There's no denying though that Muslims make the bulk of religious terrorists these days. I'd be surprised to see masked men razing towns crying out "Deus Vult!". Modern technology has made the effects of terrorism devastating. Even a lonewolf attacker can bring down more than a dozen people without using bombs.
