I remember that about three years ago, when I was just learning about the existence of bitcoin, there were a lot of faucets who paid more than 1000 satoshi per hour, which allowed those who had enough free time to spend in faucets, to accumulate a good amount of satoshi each week. In fact, that was the way I could get my first fractions of bitcoin by not knowing more alternatives.

However, in these days already very few serious faucets survive, and the most popular of them hardly grant a few satoshis after much effort.

Do you think it's still worth investing time in faucets? what is your experience with that?
That's very true mate. I got my first few satoshis through faucets only and I believe most of the people would have got their initial BTC through faucets since we didn't had to invest anything but our time into it to gain a few satoshis. Things have really changed now as the number of people in crypto has increased and hence the websites are giving out very few satoshis which are almost worth nothing. If we collect it for a few weeks then may be we could be able to collect a few cents but then it is really not worth spending the time into faucets anymore.

Faucets were built to beings taste of crypto to new people and open up avenue for people to earn free coins without having to invest any amount, just a little time and energy. But depending on faucets is not really the way to go, the returns are just very little.
Best thing to do is to join in campaigns here and earn bigger.

Most of the bitcoin faucets are no longer paying well. The one I still somehow trust is coinpot. Most others are just scam. I think emining just recently disappeared too.

If faucets are worth it, can be a little subjective depends on how much your time is worth, for my concern it is not worth it but it is a great way to learn how transactions gets processed in the blockchain. So at a beginner level it is good for learning I have had many friends started with faucets, claiming enough to get it processed and follow along how the transaction gets processed.

Something being worth it is a subjective thing. IT also depends largely on your future expectations for bitcoin and your alternative opportunities. Let's say for example you have no other earning potential and no way to purchase bitcoin directly but expect bitcoin to 100x in 5 years time, in that scenario it's very worthwhile. If alternatively you could do something else for say $10 an hour and then use that money to buy bitcoin then you're better off doing that.

Bitcoin faucets ended up being worth the operators' and the users' time years ago, 2013 to be precise when bitcoin's price gained traction and ATH was achieved. The reason for this is that operators don't want to shell out more money and ads that are embedded within the faucet site don't pay too well, so it only ends up being a dire effort for the time and money an operator puts into his/her faucet. On the user side of things, a few satoshis won't make the cut, and we know people wants to make it big even if they are newbs on the field. They end up trying but also end up tired clicking ads and solving captchas in exchange for virtual pennies that they can't even use to spend on even the cheapest of things online.

I think faucet bitcoin and other popular crypto not worth again but faucet from new coin can get more worth if you hold it

I think all faucet sites now are gone because they will not pay you too much because they are changing and I think you'll try to claim airdrops instead of bitcoin, altcoin, token faucets.

Faucets definitely don't worth your time to invest in it! I got 1 ripple for 3 weeks of work in one faucet. You can spend your time much more effectively!

With the high price of bitcoin now it will be difficult to find a faucet that really pays for people who play it. And as for paying if there is only a little, 15 satoshi for 15 minutes and it's very annoying. The minimum high withdrawal limit is one of the reasons our time will be useless when you want to get bitcoin with a faucet. I guess compared to someone playing a faucet it will be more meaningful if they become a bounty hunter, there will be many lessons he can get when becoming a participant of the bounty program with confidence.

almost all beginners who are new to cryptocurrency must feel the struggle to get some free shatosi, bitcoin tap must be the main target visited by beginners in this field. That is because they still do not fully understand the ways that can generate some shatosi without issuing capital, therefore the bitcoin tap is certainly still suitable for beginners to be able to collect some of the smallest bitcoin units first, namely (shatosi).

No I don't think they are worth it, they're referred to as micro-earnings for a reason. I guess if you honestly have nothing else to do it's something but doesn't seem worth the effort.

I wasn't around when faucets were big. IIRC they were meant to be a way to help push adoption and bring people to bitcoin in a risk free way. It was a beginners tool, you earned free BTC and could then practice sending transactions, creating wallets. Any that still exist now I would expect to be sending out very small amounts for the same purpose as the originals, remember it's essentially a charity for knowledge.

The few I have seen now though I think are usually geared as a promotion for a website, or casino. So they come with their own agendas.
I agree. They are absolutely not worth it. Are you planning on earning a few cents per hour op? This is how much most faucets pay out these days. There are a few faucets that pay big amounts through lotteries, but everyone knows how lotteries work.

I suggest going outside and looking for a real job rather than depending on faucets due to the low pay per hour op.

Your statement that faucets were designed to help conduct crypto transactions makes complete sense and I had honestly done the same during my initial days in the crypto world.

Maybe yes because the price is to much high and these faucets are use less since they're paying with low bitcoins. No one want to waste there time for 100 200 satoshi per hour

Even since the creation of faucets, it isn't worth it. There is already a lot of pretty good explanation about why faucets aren't good in the Beginner & help section pinned post. take a look at here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-how-to-earn-bitcoins-1629118

I think all of us here in crypto will always find a way to earn bitcoin, but for the first timers like me, we will commonly search on google "how to earn bitcoin easily" or something similar. And the result most of the time is the bitcoin faucets. But for sure soon enough we will realize, faucets are not meant to earn a lot of bitcoin, i just realized it after I tried several faucets.

Bitcoin faucets are no longer worth it,if you are a faucet owner. The competition between all the onlne faucets killed that business idea(if this really is a business idea). The golden time for the bitcoin faucets is over.
However bitcoin faucets were always totally pointless to use,if you were a faucet user, wasting your time clicking and solving captchas every 5 minutes.Faucets are like PTC sites, like Neobux, they are a waste of time and a dead model to make money.

Am not sure the f faucets are really much worth and as a basis of knowing much abut bitcoin will be better but using it as a money making avenue for fractions of bitcoin would be quite complicated. There quite better ways of gaining bitcoins aside these faucets which might gain you nothing.

My Wife used to do faucets back in the day, but now you get peanuts and it is just not worth our time anymore. She used to click them for hours each day, nowadays you only get like 20 or 30 sats and that is not enough even to pay the internet and electricity cost in the time frame you are clicking. You are better off finding other tasks to get paid in Bitcoin instead if you can find any that will pay you. Nowadays it seems harder and harder to find good jobs.

Yes, you are right that the claims as of today are much lesser compared with previous years when bitcoin has just started. Actually, I register in 99bitcoins faucets and able to claim at least 10 Satoshi per 5 minutes and with a 10K threshold amount before it will be added to your BTC wallet. Though it is only a fraction of bitcoin, for me it is still worth it because I'll use it for buying loads.
