As we can see from the past month where the FUD's caused by the china drama, bitcoin is still holding its ground. This is a testament that it can survive without china and besides, there are many countries out there that would gladly take the 'role' of china, like japan.

I agree with you completely, but there is no doubt that Bitcoin could have done much better with some support from China. Mainland China is a very important market right now. It is the second largest economy in the world and it is the most populous nation in this planet. It is difficult to imagine a Bitcoin sector in the future without China.

It's not necessary 'DIE', china ppl are still hiding while playing the crypto market... as you can see now the price drives up again without large involvement of China in ICOs (KYC banned US, Singapore and China) mostly, yet we see moneys are pouring in, marketcap are recovering with an insane rate.

There is no doubt that cyrptocurrency is unstoppable at least these year, the only concern i think is large scale ban on ISP/ implementing laws that restrict residents from holding currency, it is hardly possible by the nature of blockchain, but is still possible if a government really wants to block access entirely, or make trading crypto ILLEGAL.

Bitcoin is not dependent on any country or organization, it can stood still as long as it patronize by many, and it still have demands and development that needed by many.

Lol this whole bullshit "China is banning bitcoins" is already priced in at this point. We're down 30%± and I highly doubt that 30% of bitcoins are even owned by Chinese people. You think every single Chinese person sold? That's a joke. There are massive bitcoin farms and tons of bitcoin supporters. It can't be stopped. They were way too late.
Yes that's true, not only china is involved in the bitcoin, bitcoin is currency of the world. Yes due to banning of bitcoin in china the supply of decrease but now it recover, the price is slow increase. China can't stop the bitcoin, even the price of bitcoin decrease but the truth is so high.

For me bitcoin is a source of income, I earn a bitcoin because I used this to support my daily needs so even the price down ita ok because I earn using joining to campaign and no capital used.
Bitcoin will continue to prosper even there is no chinese people who will support it because there is a lot of country that will help bitcoin to recover despite of all the fuds and bad news about bitcoin. Bitcoin will be unstoppable because it already has a solid foundation that built by the community and also the countries that supported bitcoin.

Based on what I read on the current and trend news about bitcoins. One of the reason why the value of bitcoin decreases. From the month of July to August 2017 the value of bitcoin is around 4600 USD then when China leave the cryptocurrency, the value of bitcoin decreases up to 4100 USD. It means that we are not dead if China will leave, the value will just decrease but it is still high.

Cheesy well the good part is...*NO* we are not dead without china, china holds the maximum population of the world thus more than 15% of the bitcoin users were chinese, since the government banned it and stopped the ICO's suddenly the price dropped..and... Bitcoin suffered a huge loss... Its... Value of 4500$ suffered greatly and dropped down to around 3000$ ... But since not the whole world is controlled by China bitcoins slowly started to Rise again...and now their value is close to 4400$ and that too in such a short period of time.
Thus the answer is obviously no... Bitcoins are rising and will continue to rise till the time when China will be forced to rethink about ...its decision.

i dont think bitcoin is dead without china, even as china serve as big host for miners and traders in bitcoin due to the high level of electricity supply in china. but let us not underestimate the general acceptability of bitcoin all over the world, china alone cant end bitcoin existence the ban of cryptocurrency in china can slow down it activities but cant end it.

I doubt, even if China is a big country, China is not the major investor of bitcoin. There's a lot of bigger countries that hold majority of bitcoin, we have Russia, Japan, and many more. It's true that China affected bitcoin price since they banned it, however, as you can see bitcoin is now starting to recover.

No, we are not dead without china. We are growing more strongly. China doesn't control major part of bitcoin. China can influence bitcoin but it doesn't cause much problem.

China has become the powerhouse for Bitcoin (and the whole cryptocurrency in general) as it is hosting many Bitcoin miners due to cheaper electricity and maybe also cheap labors. China also boasts of probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders who are influencing the moves of the market on day to-day basis. As far as acceptance of Bitcoin in China, it is comfortably good until such time when the government decided that it is time to intervene.

In general, the Chinese government is not comfortable with Bitcoin as it indeed representing a different currency that they can not control with. since Bitcoin is decentralized it would be hard for the government to make interventions and so they are thinking that maybe it is time to ban it altogether. The government can not kill Bitcoin but what they are doing is actually closing the country as a market for Bitcoin.

So the question is: Can Bitcoin survive without China? In case, it can't then then there is something wrong with it since it is not resilient to ride the big storm it is in.

Nope, definitely not. We are never gonna die without china. It aint water, food or oxygen. Lol.

But seriously, bitcoin cannot be killed just because of this reason. Yes, china may have a lot of people who are into crypto currencies. But tou should also mot forget that china and its people who use crypto currencies are just a fraction of all the people who use crypto currencies. So i suggest you do not worry about that to much because it is pointless.

I think before bitcoin cant stand without investor and miner in china because china is big distributor of bitcoin in the past years but for now as we know that china starting to banned bitcoin in their country but bitcoin still in the top of crypto currency and the value remain higher. Also right now there are many bitcoin mining site in different countries also investors and the demand will not goes down even china totally stop supporting bitcoin.

Here in asian country where i leave i know that many people supporting crypto currency and bitcoin will be more popular now and in the future even our government not yet declare that there will legalized bitcoin.

I do not think so that bitcoins would die just because China banned bitcoins. Its true that China has large affect on bitcoins even if they did banned bitcoins bitcoins would surely suffer a huge drop as a large number of them are user's of bitcoins and trade bitcoins but it won't die that's for sure as there users and investors outside China. But bitcoins will recover fast.Bitcoins will not die unless people stopped using bitcoins.

Surely if twenty percent of bitcoins is gone from the market then prices will increase. As for mining it opens it up for somewhere else to take over more than likely a country that supports the crypto currency markets.

I do not think bitcoin will die without China, that's impossible. Although China is a country with considerable influence from bitcoin, but bitcoin does not die without China because some other countries support bitcoin to grow better as a digital currency.

Nope, i mean China is bit in crypto and the prices did take a hit when their exchanges closed, but it soon rebounded

I think bitcoin/crypto is well beyond just one nation... it is global and is only going to get even more so.
