Bitcoin has bypassed the stage of market manipulation by one set Country, it may dip but not go bust over losing a large segment like China.
The price reflects everything we really can put a finger on, its looking up at this moment and I suspect it will continue due to Countries looking to clamp down on more traditional ways of moving dirty cash.

Chinese trading ban is only temporary - they will either lift it because it will be proven to be an ineffective way of curbing wealth flow or they find a way to way to control BTC better.
Price of BTC is already started to recover even without China changing anything - this only show us that Chinese market is not that dominant as we thought it was.
Unless China will permanently delegalize BTC - which never happened - we have nothing to worry about.

Correct. People don't need to worry about China anymore. They made a significant dent, yes, but is only temporary and the market has responded ever since. Bitcoin is not China. We already pass the stage already thinking that we are doom because one of the biggest markets is gone.

But look at the price right now. Its continue to climb without them. So it only proves that we stand and move further without the supposedly growth coming from them. The space that they left was already filled in by other country as well. If they choose to open their exchanges once more with stiff regulation then its just a bonus for us. If not, then we are cool. Again, the only victim here is the bitcoin community inside China and not everyone.

China has become the powerhouse for Bitcoin (and the whole cryptocurrency in general) as it is hosting many Bitcoin miners due to cheaper electricity and maybe also cheap labors. China also boasts of probably millions of Bitcoin owners and traders who are influencing the moves of the market on day to-day basis. As far as acceptance of Bitcoin in China, it is comfortably good until such time when the government decided that it is time to intervene.

In general, the Chinese government is not comfortable with Bitcoin as it indeed representing a different currency that they can not control with. since Bitcoin is decentralized it would be hard for the government to make interventions and so they are thinking that maybe it is time to ban it altogether. The government can not kill Bitcoin but what they are doing is actually closing the country as a market for Bitcoin.

So the question is: Can Bitcoin survive without China? In case, it can't then then there is something wrong with it since it is not resilient to ride the big storm it is in.
Hello all! China is amazing county with smart and wise culture and people! But my opinion that Russian Federation is also amazing player. Of course without China bitcoins  markets will shake as result of Chinese government decisions but it's not all the world! I hope Russian Federation will legalize it and etc. It's all I think about this. Russia!

Yes. China is the only country using Bitcoin. Without it the entire cryptocurrency community would collapse and fail forever, never to return. Without China we can only wish for doom... Grin /s

I thought, the exit of china will have a big impact to the price. And it was the case, but when I'm looking on the price now, it looks very promising. So I'm glad, the price is raising again and it seems, that china don't have a large influence.

OP is not asking what effect it would have on the price. They are asking if Bitcoin will be dead without China.

In my opinion it definitely will not be. China is a single country and Bitcoin is a global technology.

Just remember that China is not the only one and no one will be dead without it. Afterall all this happenings in China were exaggareted and the influence overestimated. I believe even in China everything regarding Bitcoin will come back to normal, exchangers will regulated and adjust the business and Bitcoin will go on.

i think we still can survive without china because people who use bitcoin not only china still many other countries.
I think bitcoin exists in different part of the world and has contributed a lot to many sectors.I firmly believe that bitcoin can still strongly survive even without China, because it is not only dependent with China or with a certain country. The progress of this campaign does not depend as to where you came from or what your societal status is.
No we are not dead without china there is not only china where bitcoin is I think there should be in every part of this world and people will follow bitcoin whatever race there will be and after some time when bitcoin will be able to use all over the world then chin will need to accept bitcoin and feels bad for their people.

look, what happened to Bitcoin since they banned Bitcoin initially the price dropped but now its price has gone up again, community lovers Bitcoin pretty strong so even though there is one country that Bitcoin banned is okay, do not be afraid ..

I guess the prices recovered as the Chinese users moved their coins to other exchanges (especially those in South Korea and Japan). In the end only the Chinese government is going to lose. They will lose tax money and employment opportunities to South Korea.
I don’t think we will die without china because there is not only china in the world there is a lot of countries want to legal bitcoin and allow their country men’s to use bitcoin and invest but a little bit change will be occur if china rejected bitcoin and banned because china is one of the most largest population country in the whole world.

I think isn't, the biggest trade of bitcoin is not in china but japan because after japanese legalize bitcoin, of course the demand of bitcoin increased and also i heard word that trader from china can do trade at japan exchanger site.
China is not the backbone and bitcoin is not dead without any region it traders are around the globe and if one region ban it doesn’t mean that it will be dead. China and its people will suffer their decision in upcoming future. And the trader of china is curing the Chinese government decision so there is not that much effect.

All governments and central banks are against cryptos.
I think we will see a lot of turbulence in bitcoin. Does anyone sells VIX options on cryptosGrin

I agree with that and we cant deny the fact China is one of biggest contributor in bitcoin as well as in worldwide economy

China is a big FAKE POS.
And no proof of stake but piece of sh....

Nobody gives a damn what China is doing.
China is not that much important as people are talking they are just a piece of land as they are there is nothing bad happening to bitcoin it is maintaining its prices. Bitcoin doesn’t depend on the china but china do and china will ask in future to join again Chinese did wrong to themselves. And they will suffer in future.

I do not think bitcoin will die without China, although later bitcoin prices down this is the effect of China. All that in my opinion did not last long, bitcoin will slowly the price will rise again. Better bitcoin without China, because I think bitcoin will be more valuable.

There are many countries around the world who are supporting bitcoin nowadays and i don't think that there will be a huge impact if ever china stopped on dealing with the bitcoin market . Bitcoin can surely survive just don't be skeptic mate Smiley

You are forgetting the fact that China amounts to around 20% of the annual Bitcoin trade volumes. And 20% is very significant for a currency such as Bitcoin, which is just 8 years old. If we take out this 20%, then the exchange rates can fall by anywhere from 50% to 90%. And also, China is one of the fastest growing economies. China is very important for the future of BTC.

Not totally, but yeah, it would have an effect on cryptocurrency in general. Because as we all know, China have the most number of people in the world and i think 20% percent of cryptocurrency holders are fron china too. But im pretty sure that cryptos would be unstoppable.
I am not sure about the percentage you told here about the holders of crypto from China but yes if it so, believe me we will be having a strong blunt of price fall or damage in fame of bitcoins. Bitcoins are unstoppable now, they don’t die due to China’s leaving, but yes it may be affected somehow.

No, because Bitcoin and cryptos are the money of internet, which will stay for a long time.

But are you sure Bitcoin and cryptos will be there forever? I have a bit of a high doubt!
Well, nothing is going to last forever that much we know, however I could understand if you have doubts that bitcoin is going to be with us for a long time, maybe you believe in another coin that already exists or you think that a new coin will emerge and beat bitcoin, however I do not see why you doubt cryptocurrencies as a whole, the market is going to flourish as long as fiat is controlled by banks, so the reason for crypto to exists is still going to be there.

No, we are not dead without china. There's a lot of volume outside china as the china dominance already reduced since the early this year when they freeze bitcoin withdrawal in their exchange. There's a lot of mining power in china but there's still a lot of place with cheap electricity that welcome bitcoin miner.
This Is impossible to say bitcoin dead,The decision made by china is cutting them off from the outer world and they are neglecting the Importance of the most profitable coin of the world and gave boost to their economy .

No we are not dead without them there is more space in world which is accepting it so don’t need to worry and the bitcoin. They will regret about their decision in their coming future so that they should rethink.

China is one of the biggest market for bitcoins . It will slightly effect the bitcoins for some time but eventually bitcoins are going to raise up for sure . Bitcoin stocks has gone up from last two days . So i dont think bitcoins will stop because it does not have support of china .
