Not afraid, but more worried and I did. I am fully aware of the risks involved, but I recognize that we live in a world of rules and we must comply. The choice is not about KYC or not, but whether we want to be involved or not, if we choose to be involved then a part of KYC will follow. They are owners of crypto projects and crypto markets also cannot escape the economic rules that apply in each country and this is not an option for them to get the market they want.

There’s a saying, "No risk, No gain". So we need to take risk in order to gain the absolute success and when it is about crypto trading, risk is there.
It gives strong security on both sides. I think the outcome will be amazing.
I am totally believing the project because I have done this before and I don’t have a problem revealing my real identity as I'm not a hero.

I'm not worried about the data being misused because I haven't heard of anyone who has been a victim of it, it's better if everything requires KYC it can reduce everything that leads to fraud
You should be worried especially if you live somewhere where the computer in your local database has been compromised. Or if you are living in the US your data has been sold already so I think that you should be worried, remember that advertisers are paying billions just to get your information because they want to sell what you think you need.

If you are in need and it is indeed a requirement that must be completed, like it or not, we have to follow the rules that have to do KYC, if in doubt leave it.  so far i'm safe, i only fill KYC for exchange market needs
I mean there's no other way around KYC sooner or later all the good sites and platforms will be asking for this so I don't think that no point in resisting. If you are worried that you have your data or information stolen, always remember that if you are a citizen in a country with a birth certificate and have applied for jobs and registered in social media site, I think that it's too late for you to worry about leaks because one or another, your data has already been sold somewhere out there.

Im not afraid to KYC but there are some reason that we need to keep safe our personal details. I do some KYC but ill always check if this is needed to use some services or to get some presents to the websites or other applications online. KYC is also need to participate in ICO and mostly some presale so why we need to afraid if we want the risks to our own personal need or want , just always remember is to be careful to share your personal if you are feel not safe.

Do you think it is Ok to pass the video verification for example on Binance? Doesn't it violate my rights?

I don’t know where there is so much negativity to the procedure that gives you the opportunity, for example, to participate in the pre-sale of project tokens when it conducts an ICO and get the opportunity to take them at the best price, get your multiplications after entering the exchange, and so on. Who needs your data? Who you are?! Smiley I'll tell you this - in my country almost any database is sold. And this is despite all that there is a law on the protection of personal data. Nobody cares. Even if you have never completed KYC, your data is already in the public domain.

I’m not afraid, as much as it’s a pain! I also don’t trust the safe keeping of my information...
they said they don't keep information at the any servers
I don't believe that. I think they kept all the info. Because when we lost password or key then we talk with their support. Then they asked for Identity. When we submit identity card then they approve it and give us access. Then how they recognize us if they don't keep information?

or some project that sells its tokens.

Oh, I'm a one-man-project and selling tokens too. Would you send me your ID please?

If you like to give your personal data away, go for it. But don't complain once your data is hacked and in one of those big database which you can find in certain forums.

Sorry for being a bit rude, but maybe you should read this thread and understand the dangers of KYC.

If you are not a criminal or some kind of terrorist - what are you afraid of then? I'm going through KYC right now on one of the exchanges and I'm waiting for approval. It also includes biometric data - it doesn't bother me at all, on the contrary! I think this verification method gives more confidence to both the exchange and the user, or some project that sells its tokens. It is foolish to be afraid of this - unless you have bad intentions or something like that. Feel free to go through KYC and take advantage of the benefits that you will have after passing and approving it.

Initially joining this market I also thought it was imperative and necessary to use things in this space. And I found it really nothing to fear, but until I found out my personal information was leaked on other websites, I had a different thought. My personal information was not guaranteed and used for the wrong purpose, that's the only problem I see.

Such a procedure can only be feared and avoided by a fraudster, a non-existent person, or something similar. I went through the procedure many times, it often took a minimum of time and gave a feeling of a serious attitude of people to their work, project, business relations. It always suits me and I would like everyone to do the same.
Until recently, the KYC procedure was widely used by ICO teams in order not to pay bounty participants the tokens they earned under various far-fetched pretexts. In addition, some of these teams then sold our confidential data on the dark web of the Internet, since they do not bear any responsibility for the safety of this information, and scammers do not even care about possible rules at all. You just haven’t come across it yet, and with such an overconfident approach to your confidential information, this is still ahead of you.

I think the sooner we all switch to procedures such as KYC, the sooner the market will free itself from the oppression of speculators and scammers. I hope this will happen sooner or later. I am personally not afraid and have gone through this many times. If you are a law-abiding person who has nothing to hide, there is no reason not to go through the procedure and get advantages over those who did not!

Of course not! KYC is a very cool thing and an important tool. It is a pity that not all projects use it by default, then we would have a more open world. If you think about the loss of confidentiality, then this will not cause problems for a normal investor, but what else does a project need that is doing well? - Of course, good and clean investors!
