I live in an European country, where infrastructures and institutions work well and are useful for the average citizen.

To me, not paying taxes would feel like eating in a restaurant that I love and run away without paying the bill.

When it comes to taxes, there is indeed no choice in the matter, it's either you pay or the government takes you to prison and since the taxes are used for the citizens themselves, it is better to pay it since Police and Fire men all are paid with the taxes that the people pay.

Stop dreaming. If most of the tax revenue is being used for the construction of roads and facilities, then the vast majority of the common people won't be having a problem in paying their taxes on time. But that is not the case. A large part of the revenue is used to pay salaries and pensions to the government employees. The remaining is used for waging wars.
