I can't see how Airdrops are dangerous unless you join airdrops from twitter or facebook which are mostly fakes or scam, find real airdrop source and you won't encounter any problem, airdropalert and airdropbob are the best to me, they only introduce well screened projects to airdrop hunters with ratings, I choose the highest rated airdrops

You have said the word as it is, there are so many misleading airdrops in the crypto currency space today, and most are even fraud.
Some people run airdrops just to get followers on twitter, some run airdrops to collect peoples private keys, some infiltrate other peoples phone that way too

Be safe and careful.
indeed some airdrops are genuine but some are fake sometimes they ask the airdrop participants to do KYC by using show the real identity held by the participants, from there all data provided can be used for crime without anyone knowing it, it will make your privacy known to many people.
KYC for airdrop is bullshit, I will never join KYC and will quickly ignore it. Since entering this market, I have only done KYC in exchange and a few valuable bounty projects.

Airdrop asking for KYC to receive their coins or tokens should be a big NO NO. Aside from ending up with value of few bucks, your identity is at risk. You should stay away those kind of airdrop. Also, a lot of airdrops are worthless, maybe way back 2017 you can get valuable coins, but nowadays, if you can find a good one, that's rare.

If you are newbie and you are looking for ways of making some  Bitcoin and other altcoin, be very CAREFUL with AIRDROP campaign as many of them out there are out to scam/milk you with the little ones at your disposal. Sometimes, they are out to get your personal information like email address, etc and sell it out for money.
Some of them will tell you to send some amount of BTC or ethereum to their address as fee for you to get the aclaimed airdrop reward of which they will later run away and mute their telegram channel.

Be warn is to be armed.
There have been many similar topics like this one, so I think you don't need to present it again. Btw airdrop is still a good option for you to make money, but before participating in airdrops you should do research and should only participate in the airdrop listed at the exchange.
If you participate in 100 airdrops in this market, then I think you will succeed with 1-5 airdrops. There are so many shady airdrops and scams in this market they just want to steal our information and will never distribute tokens.

Just like what happened in around the year 2017 or bull run before, which a lot of airdrops happened in the Altcoin Section of this forum. Most of them are fake or scam, like maybe you are lucky if out of 10 airdrops there is 1 legit. Although you will receive some altcoins from them there is no value at all or their project is purely fake, fake team members, fake whitepaper, fake roadmap, etc.

The stupid mistakes that people do online is believing that online money is for free, well the fact is money making online is as hard as the offline work too, you have to work hard to earn, so when you come across easy tasks for thousands of dollars why won't that raise your eyebrow? Nothing is for free in this world, you should hate free money, they  are greed wakers, and we have greed in us all, don't we?

Excuse me, selling your email to another is not a problem, you lose nothing here, I use strong password and 2FA for my email, goodluck trying to hack my email, the only thing scammers do with emails is spamming them with lots of phishing links

If you are not greedy you won't fall for these stupid scam tricks, all other scam tricks always end in asking users to make deposit, they will tender something promising though, greed is a bitch

Indeed, forget about it once and for all. Don't get trapped on such false hopes. Instead of paying attention on "easy money" schemes, choose to study on how to trade. Whether it is daytrading or hodling, it will be all worth of your time because you know that it was a legit way of earning Smiley.

And I hope the bounty or campaign now doesn't end up like the airdrop trend that used to be a lot of scams
Not good either dude. Though I haven't experienced being a bounty hunter, I might say that they are also no longer profitable according to the bad comments from the audiences. Everything change after the ATH. Hmm, what remains the same I think is the sig campaigns (aside from merit requirements) Cheesy.

Airdropd were really profitable till late 2017.
The main purpose from conducting airdrop was to raise awareness about new projects and attract investors.
Things changed and scammers discoverd that conducting fake airdrops is the easiest and cheapest way to fool newbies.
In the past, to receive free tokens, all you had to do is to provide your receiving address, now they will ask for personal information (email, id, picture...) or ask you to pay for fees which is ridiculous.
Yes, and I still remember the beginning I jumped into bitcoin also in 2017 and the beginning I know airdrop is quite promising.

But as time goes by the longer the more they are scam,
finally prefer to follow the bounty / campaign at this time.

And I hope the bounty or campaign now doesn't end up like the airdrop trend that used to be a lot of scams

There is nothing totally free in the world. You all have to do something and pay something to get earnings. About personal data, you have to be very careful. There is no guarentee from any company that your personal data won't be sold or breached. Being careful about KYC too.
Using thrown away email is a good alternative for your main email if you want to try using new platforms.
Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless

It is obviously scam. They use a same scam method like these scammers. Scammers on Youtube. Don't fall into this scam trap and lose money, guys. When you see such scammers, report them to Youtube.

Not to forget that airdrops were a main factor to get more people into the crypto world. Many of the well experienced carreers here started with looking for easy money in bounties and giveaways. But this doesn't make it legit or safe to use.
From what i can tell, during the last three years, most airdrops were made either to scam investors money by promoting a fake token, or it's a sheme for identity thief if the airdrop requires user to submit personal info.

If you can find an airdrop program like that, report it and stay away and never send your details there. Fraud efforts through the airdrop program I think are not new, although it often happens but it is good because you try to remind other beginners to be careful.
Not all members understand the correct airdrop and some airdrops look the same so when passing through without realizing avoiding the actual airdrop. Of course, some methods are needed to predict airdrop scammers and bounty scammers too.
This is my own method to detect scam airdrops and bounties.

1.) The first thing is check the website and the Team Profile verify if they are real people and has knowledge with crypto and the field of expertise. In most cases a scam website only shows the token sales and what wallet address you need to send your money.

2) 2nd the most common tool for scammers are Google Form they used it to pretend that there is an ICO airdrop this is commonly seen in twitter. They are asking for contribution.

3) Next is the Telegram Channel / Telegram Group in most cases newly made are scams. Based on my observation you can say 100 % scam if the group is a supergroup with restrictions in adding bots only admin can add bots if you see any airdrop channels promoter bot then for sure marked it another scam.

4) For me whitepaper , twitter are not the least priority to check. Why? They can easily made it up.

5) And also never share your MEW private keys they will steal your coins with no hesitation.

The best thing is to always verify the airdrop and bounties you are going to participate with.
Additionally, use alternative e-mails for every airdrop submission to be aware of if you are stuck on an airdrop scam

I won't recommend joining airdrops as it is not the best way to earn money. Most of it are scams so it is much better to use any skills you have and then you' surely earn money. Your skill will be your basis in what you will do. There are some people with skills and they use it on crypto which really help them what they want to do. Take note that joining airdrop is not the only way to earn crypto.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
The airdrop program is only to retrieve their data which is so easily attracted by a small reward and this is only done by beginners who do not know what they are doing KYC just like that even though personal data is very important compared to the wage of dollar which is not much. the biggest airdrop now for $ 10 is also bullshit.

Scamer always makes a way to do what they want while the hunters, if there is an airdrop, do the action right away and don't do research first so that's what makes newbi trapped.

Need to avoid airdrop that is not very clear.

Not surprisingly, because this is a common occurrence in the crypto room and cases like this have occurred a long time ago. But if you are several years before this, there may be many airdrops that produce and look legit.

Sometimes, they are out to get your personal information like email address, etc and sell it out for money.

Remember, never give your details to get a few dollar from Aridrop and I think the amount will not be proportional to the security of your personal information.

Yes you are right. Everyone is attracted to Airdrop because it is easy money. It can be earned without any effort. Not everyone wants to miss out on this opportunity. But this is their misconception. Taking advantage of this greed of the people, the scammers take their various information. I have seen many times, some airdrop have taken people's kyc information. Newbies give their important information to scammers without realizing it. Scamming money through Airdrop is a very popular scamming system. Every day I watch fake giveaway videos on youtube. So everyone should stay away from such airdrop and giveaway.
