To spend less money on the currently season is a must for me, because I'm still recovering myself from a gambling loss, therefore I really can't give myself the luxury of spending more money on it. About extra spendings on gifts I'm not too concerned, because it's also something I can't afford right now. I can't spend on gambling, but I also can't spend on gifts. December or the end of the year as you might want to call it is just like any other month of the year for me when it comes to gambling, so I see no reason why I would treat my gambling differently. Good, the feelings of this time are very good and unique, is it for the weather or for the joy. But if one is not prudent this season, he could find himself in financial trouble. We should not let anything move us to alter the budget for any reason, we always have to be true to what we have planned to do, except if the person has planned to play more bets this time even before now, which might amount to more losses mostly under the influence because emotion is getting involved and alcohol and other might increase this season too.

Less gambling expenses for now in these holiday seasons as I will probably be spending more time on my family, going out for parties, meeting up with old friends, etc This means I only have a little time for gambling and maybe, I was thankful for that. Wow, That's a great Idea and for me, we don't have to spend more aside from buying gifts and budget for foods this coming holidays, It's better to keep our money and holiday bonuses or invest it to some good investment for our future. we can save a little amount to add it up to our bank roll but that's not my priority right now, what's important for me is to have my hard earned money in my pocket before year ends and by welcoming the new year.

No, I am not spending more.  I think its because I am not a regular gambler. I have a gambling allocation, and I don’t exceed my limit no matter the condition. I have no reason to increase or reduce my gambling allocation, if I have extra money, I do use it for other necessary things, that doesn’t mean I should increase my gambling allocation, and maybe whenever I am having some financial problems that I need to take care of, I do reduce the amount that I allocate for gambling just for me to solve any particular problem that I am having at that particular time.
 
Actually, some people gamble according to the amount they are having with them at that moment, they don’t set limits for themselves, and some that have limits do decide to increase it if there is an increase in the amount they are receiving at that particular time, but I am not like that, even if my income increases, my allocation for gambling doesn’t increase.

I agree, proper planning for spending this holiday season and you will not bleed dry financially when the New Year comes and given that it's a shopping spree most of the time, gambling will definitely take the least priority in terms of funding and if someone even tries to squeeze it in, they're definitely going to have some problems with their holiday funds unless they're the Grinch and they don't like having some fun at celebrating Christmas or New Year's Eve.

Since our daily expenses are generally much higher than normal during holiday periods, it is definitely a very logical and correct step to spend less on gambling.
