In the licence file for the DoD game, a version number was changed from 0.4.0 to 0.5.0.

Reason unknown.

Then you're using the wrong original. There's a 0.5.0 that I compared against and posted about above. I was first working off of 0.3.1 and it was already pretty close, so you probably don't need to worry about grabbing 0.5.0 at this point. (Note that the .exe installer works with Wine, if you do want to go down that route and check my work.)

regarding the last of the words/phrases, I was wondering if they might be part of a dark wallet wallet recovery seed, but since there wasn't a clear way to order them, brute forcing that seemed overly tedious.

Played the game, read the docs. Can't seem to make anything stick

Heh, I've been avoiding actually playing that game, maybe there's a phrase or something in there.

EDIT: It's not possible for the first half of Space.mp4 to /be/ anything because it is an exact copy of the source posted on the 25th feb 2014 (the same date as the album).

Probably just padding but its contents /may/ be something for the password. I've ran so many double sha's on everything about that file. No joy.

Yeah, ugh. Welcome!

You said the same QR-code were in all of them. Is there still one audio file you havn't solved?

The 16_kaboom.wav file has an audio fragment that might be a clue. Either speed it up or change the sampling rate. Sounds like a naggingly familiar chopped out piece of an old 8 bit game.

Files 20-25 all has the same QR code.
The only file left is 16. I can't see anything in it though.

I don't see the QR code in file 20, only in 21-25. And there is no file 16 left after uninstall.

What is file 20 name and size?

EDIT: File size and bitrate of file 16 was changed in comparison to original game. Old: 30.5 kB, 176 kBit/s, new: 188kB, 256kBit/s

File size of 20-25 is 430 kB for each, bitrate 705kBit/s

Guys, sorry posting from my phone but didn't one member discover that uninstalling the game leaves some files behind?

Yes, the audio files that were added by YT. One is unused, but I can't identify it.

You said the same QR-code were in all of them. Is there still one audio file you havn't solved?

The split.bin is what is appended to space.mp4. split.bin got shifted -100 byte and thus gave a .7z archive we now call another.7z (arbitrary)

What about the filenames, filesize, etc?

Also, I remember there was a .bin file, I think it was split.bin
Did anyone make anything out of it?

Shit, I have Sound Forge at home but I wont be home for a while.

Can someone check them please?

Maybe there's a reason they are there, probably because they are not part of the original files so weren't removed.

Well when you do something like this, the international exposure, is your friend as a artist anyways.

Only if you like Sia, and you want to avoid the public eye, and get extra publicity, would you hide your identity.  Grin

Has the '7:51' from Hint.jpg been used so far?

Past hints have never meant anything for future puzzles. Best to ignore them.

Why are people still looking into the game files? We solved that one.

Because we're at the end with nothing else inside the Again.7z that hasn't been used as a clue/hint. So, logically, we're going back a few steps to see if we missed anything.
Good point. Ignore previous post. I have been playing around with the idea that we need to look for duplicates, but I doubt that that would help us.

If you speed up 16_kaboom.wav by 225% or so it's clearly a song fragment, and is not the original game sound.

Not sure if any useful, but DoD file readme2.txt has some sound naming described:

Code:
At present, all the sounds are stored in WAV files and loaded into memory during initialization.  The names of the sounds are taken directly from the 6809 source.  They are: squeak (spider), rattle (viper), growl (club stone giant), beoop (blob), klank (no-shield knight), grawl (axe stone giant), pssst (scorpion), kklank (shield knight), pssht (wriath), snarl (galdrog), bdlbdl (wizard), gluglg (flask), phaser (ring), whoop (scroll), clang (shield), whoosh (sword), chuck (torch), klink (player hit creature), clank (creature hit player), thud (player hit wall), bang (player killed creature), kaboom (wizard fade in crash), heart (heartbeat), buzz (wizard fade in buzz).

(...) kaboom (wizard fade in crash) (...)

EDIT: after listening to the speeded up version of the file, it reminds me of the drums on the 2001 Space Odyssey Intro... or maybe i'm just loosing it.
