*Hint for "Onion.7z":

- Match the identified platonic shapes to their designated elements in the correct order. Always apply Bitcoin protocol.

Seem we might not be finished over here either...

Just to point out, that's not bitcoin protocol at all. Bitcoin protocol uses the sha256 of the binary form of the inner sha256, that's the hex form. It's not Bitcoin protocol at all, just similar. OP misunderstands how the hash functions work in Bitcoin.

Argh, yeah. I had done this and many variants (e.g., "Fire Earth Air Ether Water") a couple hours ago, but didn't post due to our progress elsewhere and the failure of the key to work.

Code:
echo -n "fireearthairetherwater" |openssl dgst -sha256 -binary |openssl dgst -sha256

means 2.7z is independent of Again.7z ?!
Onion.7z was the first 7z and that was already opened. OP must have made a mistake this time Tongue I think she meant 2.7z.

i think most of us are, because it's like 2 or 3 different loose ends. The quote above the bit.ly link, the number in the text file, the odyssey thing (which we've found but nothing to follow it up with), the file creation date of 1980 being weird. Which way to turn? lol

space + odyssey = Space Odyssey ?

which is the subtitle to the film 2001. hm!

some context from the Cory Doctorow quote we blitzed by:
Quote
...
Hackers blow through those countermeasures. The Xbox was cracked by a kid from MIT who wrote a best-selling book about it, and then the 360 went down, and then the short-lived Xbox Portable (which we all called the “luggable”—it weighed three pounds!) succumbed. The Universal was supposed to be totally bulletproof. The high school kids who broke it were Brazilian Linux hackers who lived in a favela—a kind of squatter’s slum.
Never underestimate the determination of a kid who is time-rich and cash-poor.
Once the Brazilians published their crack, we all went nuts on it. Soon there were dozens of alternate operating systems for the Xbox Universal. My favorite was ParanoidXbox, a flavor of ParanoidLinux. ParanoidLinux is an operating system that assumes that its operator is under assault from the government (it was intended for use by Chinese and Syrian dissidents), and it does everything it can to keep your communications and documents a secret. It even throws up a bunch of “chaff” communications that are supposed to disguise the fact that you’re doing anything covert. So while you’re receiving a political message one character at a time, ParanoidLinux is pretending to surf the Web and fill in questionnaires and flirt in chat rooms. Meanwhile, one in every five hundred characters you receive is your real message, a needle buried in a huge haystack.

just thoughts :
space + odyssey = Space Odyssey ?
if "2.7.1980 09:02:18 timestamp: 331369338" maybe "2147129 timestamp > January 25, 1970 > M*A*S*H premieres"
 : )

Space Odyssey was also my thought in the last minute!
