Hi, can someone explain me with are the most common delegates to vote for?? like for example if i vote for arkpool delegate and i use 100 ark how much time will it take to recover my investment?? and how can i assure that the delegate will keep going and the payout percentage stays the same 90% for voters and 10% for delegate. can someone explain this a little more...  Smiley

You can use the Ark Profit Share Calculator to see how much you will be getting from each pool.  Also, you are not losing your 100 Ark when you vote so there is no recovery time.

then if I'm not losingg the ark when i vote when will i get it back???

It cost you 1 ARK to vote and from the profit calculator, it will take you 30 days to get that one ARK back.  Or stop by slack and you can recover that 1 ARK today.   Grin

you just pay 1 Ark once time for make the vote and it was active forever in your wallet If you do not change it or make an unvote, and as long as there is some balance in your wallet you can get forging profit sharing from your delegate,  Wink your Ark balance in your wallet is still yours, only you can use it and only you can manage it, just keep the balance in your wallet so you will get the profit sharing from your delegate because your wallet address will be recognized as a voters

- 1 ARK EQUALS A VOTING WEIGHT OF 1. The more ark you hold, the more weight you hold in your possession — but note that if you split the wallet your voting splits with it. For example, if you have 1,000 ARK your voting power is equal to 1,000 ARK, if you split that in to 2 equal wallets each having 500 ARK the voting power of the 1st wallet will be 500 ARK and the 2nd one 500 ARK.

Nobody is taking your ARK to get them back, they always stay in your wallet and you can use them anytime. The more you have in your wallet the more you will get from the delegate you've voted. You can spend your ARK anytime you want but you'll stop receiving interest from the delegate.

Voting for a pool gives you ark reward from the delegate you vote for.

if you start a pool I will add it to my list.

Community Profit Calculators

If you vote for any of these delegates, you will get ARK from their forging.

1: read their website or link and do your own research.
2: true forever from ARK but trust is up to YOU and the POOL Owner to get the forged ARK tokens from them.  ARK is not responsible for the honorability of the pool operator.
3: pick from these delegates or come read more at our forum https://forum.ark.io
4: you vote only once and it will stay like that until you un-vote or spend the tokens in your wallet

Hey Guys,

I just joined the ARK and have now a considerable amount of ARK at hand

Can someone ELI5 how do put my ARK to work?
I want to get them off the exchange and vote for some delegate, however have absolutely no clue how to do this and how to choose the delegate.

It would be very nice if you could point me to some sources that explain me the process or shortly explain it hereon.

Beste regards!

Hi Hebe123,

welcome to Ark. OK so first you'll need to install Ark Desktop client and get them off the exchange (withdrawal option).

1. https://github.com/ArkEcosystem/ark-desktop/releases download current version (1.1.0) for your OS (Linux,Mac or Win)
2. Follow this guide to generate yourself your private Ark wallet (since you'll be installing Ark Desktop Client you can use that part) : https://blog.ark.io/how-to-generate-your-own-ark-address-and-passphrase-5e4e1257ca5e - make sure you save that 12 word passphrase, that is your access to your wallet!
3. Withdraw from exchange (input the Ark address you generated) and wait for it to hit your wallet
4. Now you need to upvote a delegate of your choosing with instructions here : https://blog.ark.io/how-to-vote-or-un-vote-an-ark-delegate-and-how-does-it-all-work-819c5439da68

P.S. : You can use this pool calculator made by delegate 'dafty' = https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FGo3FkC3uSWXGHatPQyny2brMWjAIJsHFCR-Lhkl_m0/edit#gid=0  or read proposals here https://forum.ark.io/category/5/delegates

If you need live support there is always someone out in our Slack : https://ark.io/slack
Hi Ark..is it necessary to copy and paste my wallet address into the Ark dashboard?
I just want to download your wallet and keep them in the cold wallet but need confirmation that that's okay .I really if I can help it don't want Ark dashboard for tokens I'm new to this please.advise.
Jon

You can keep them in cold wallet (eg. just send them to your ARK address) - make sure you save your ARK Address passphrase, that is your access to the wallet!
Is there is an instant way of sending an ark fund, directly through an exchange site, without having to go through a wallet that has been provided in the ark ...

I think yes it could be if you have a wallet address on that exchange site / service

btw, I just find a shared link on FB = https://www.change.org/p/poloniex-bring-ark-to-poloniex?source_location=minibar

should we support it?

how do you think dev?

yes, done.
