The latest addition to ARK’s vast Software Development Kit library is the C++ programming language. This integration brings the total number in the ARK Blockchain SDK library to 17 (actually 18, with some modifications it can also cover C).

Just finished reading last blog post on fee dynamics for V2 to be clear I have no technical knowledge of those diagrams and terms of coding language but between the lines still it seems that I got what I wanted to know. There are lot of people those understand these updates for me dynamic fee incorporated wallets availability before main net release and things or track is sufficient to keep continue with ARK.

Basically it will be like other coins where you can choose the fee (btc, eth etc...) and it's going to be the world first DPoS chain to do that. It will come along with V2 on late october/early november
whatever I heard about V2 and so many excitment of people here,  I think it's going to be a great development on the Ark delegates. DPoS is a interesting concept no doubt in this. thats why lisk is one of my favorite coin.
lets see what that V2 will add up.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger
Seems like everything is going well with Core v2 if you're planning to release Desktop Wallet v2 this year!
Any more feedback you can share with us? Like "we found a few issues while testing and we're working on them" or "everything is smooth so far, just another week or two and we'll release Core v2", I don't know... something?

Says everything for me:

But that's 1 month old mate! Smiley
I was asking for a new update. I believe since ARK works as a company, they probably have updates for us on Monday or later, not on weekend.

Hi Ark, When ARK Core V2 goes live, will there be a new desktop wallet for token holders, or the old wallet will still be ok with the V2 upgrade?

                                    Wink

When the V2 goes live we'll have updated wallet ready that will work with upgraded protocol. We also have totally new Desktop Wallet v2 in the making that will be released this year as well.

Thanks for answering my question.

Hello, everyone!

I need you guys to help a brother out. I'm writing this research paper, right? I need you to list the main reasons behind ARK's popularity.

Thanks for your help!

You don't mind if I share with you my personal reasons, which might be a bit too simple, right? I marked my main reasons with red text,

Personally I first heard of ARK when I got my Ledger Nano S and the nice icon caught my eye, so I researched about it and I liked the idea of bridges, a plugin market for ARK-based projects and dApps.
I also researched the ARK's competition, namely EOS and TRON, but both of them were ERC20 token back in 2017 which for me meant the project doesn't have a strong enough team to be worthy my investment.

At the same time ARK was cheaper than EOS and TRON was a bit too new on September, so the choice was obvious for me.

Anybody have any idea what this Twat is on about

Hi, add the Russian language to the official website, I think it will add loyalty from the community in the Russian-speaking part of the world.

Hi Mikhail, Russian is in fact available on ARK.io and also Desktop Wallet.

This just my speculation: if xdna is a on a bridgechain, you can just setup an ACES node for xdna-ark-btc btc-ark-xdna and you should be good to go. Or maybe you can just go with sdna-btc btc-xdna

But the thing I don't understand about bridges is where does the BTC go after they're traded for XDNA? Who holds them?

i dont know what xdna is but if someone sets up an aces node to connect ARK - coinA. then coinA and ARK can exchange between each other. there is no coinB involved in the middle. only coinA and ARK. the node operator would hold a pool of coinA and ARK, and thats how encoded listeners in aces work.

Actually I found this old article: https://blog.ark.io/what-is-the-ark-smartbridge-and-how-does-it-work-1dd7fb1e17a0
From what I understand, SmartBridges are meant to be used when a blockchain has special functions like contracts or maybe a dAPP, but instead of using ETH for a contract you can use ARK. If ARK is SmartBridged with BTC then you can use BTC for an Ethereum smart contract because the connection goes like BTC-ARK-ETH.

no, direct connection only works if the other coin implements the code snippet. and since btc is not going to do that we use encoded listener nodes. listener nodes can be programmed to function however you like. like our ark-eth bridge, you can issue a smart contract on eth from ark and the encoded listener does all calculations and even returns excess fees.

xdna is just an hypotetical coin. What I tried to say is, if I want to send xdna (which hypotetically is on a bridgechain) to ethereum blockchain, to call a function into a contract for example, how I can do it? I need an ACES service for xdna to ark and then another one for ark to eth or somehow I will be able to bridge xdna and eth directly?
