I feel bad, but I don't want anyone to feel like they're getting scammed. Why would he be able to PM but not post in the forum. I really only see two plausible reasons.
Because newbies can only post in the newbie forum. He'll eventually be able to post in here, but he's trying to get an admin to unlock his account before the auction end.

I don't understand how the bid could even be accepted... Why would he be able to PM but not post in the forum. I really only see two plausible reasons.
#1. The bidder knows/isn't sure he'll be able to fulfill the bid so this way, it will be much harder for anyone to discredit him if he doesn't pay.

I have no opinion on what you should do, don't know what's common practice or reasonable in these auctions, it's my first one.
