I mean, even with proof of btc sent, op can just send the btc back if it is a friend of his.

Not accusing you of anything op just does seem strange, would you agree?

Also, for the record but, I'd like to see proof that this shady pm bidder makes his payment. If I don't see this proof, I expect I (and the other bidders) to pay according to a sheet drawn up without his bids forcing us to bid higher that he would have had he never bid at all.

yeah a large fake bid could pump up the other bids pretty easily.  I don't like it either

In my opinion, the initial auction description should disclaim that it will allow pm bids. Unrepresented bids are shady.
*Shrug*.  The guy has an account, tried to get into the thread, and can't post.  I don't understand what's shady about it?  If he doesn't pay, we exclude his bid.
