Not really, I'd say more of the same.  If Havelock is to be trusted, and was losing money as its whatever_you_call_those_things financial statements suggest, it's improbable that, with declining volume, this would change.
How long can Havelock afford to operate in the red?  What will be the end game?

Amateur investment enthusiasts The savvy financiers currently losing money trading on Havelock are unlikely to call Havelock's mom & tell take any legal action against a Somalian Panamanian shell co.  Even these degenerate gamblers titans of Bitcoin commerce realize the futility of tilting at windmills.

So yeah, more of the same, slowly fading into obscurity just like the Securities section of this forum.

This post has been redacted and edited for compliance with Panamanian libel laws.

No one knows who is making what. Unless I missed something AM has not clearly said what part of the profit is for them or RM. It is all speculation until they actually give you some info. I would hope that with selling so much AMHash they are cash positive by now or something is really off.

Not to mention mining since mid July... and the 'not needing to worry about selling BTC for some time' statement.  There's gotta be some cash AND BTC on the books somewhere.

My guess is that because Friedcat is a forward thinker, he's not waiting for the tooth fairy to pay for a Gen4 mask ... I can't help but read Friedcat's actions as being long term, and a bit stealthy...

More speculation?  Amazing.  To be fair tho, I've seen more plausible arguments defending the Tooth Fairy.

Hey Look... I went trolling, and caught one!

-- Nah NotLambchop...the thread was getting pretty boring over christmas... I thought a little positive enthusiasm may help...

Come to think of it, there hasn't been a big pump/dump around recently.. Havelock is basically stagnant other than bots...    Any predictions for the new year?

My guess is that because Friedcat is a forward thinker, he's not waiting for the tooth fairy to pay for a Gen4 mask...  That's done, and he's been saving his pennies for a massive deployment to do some serious catch-up.

After reading so many different thoughts on AM's valuation, I can't help but read Friedcat's actions as being long term, and a bit stealthy...   If I had to compare AM as a company in the bitcoin space, I would still place it closer to the long term company builders that want Bitcoin to succeed, like Bitpay, than with the venture-capital backed rush to market/crash and burn entities that many have seen.

Money in the bank.. Bitcoin in the wallet...  Gen 4 ready to roll..   Partners in both board design, mining, and building relationships with fabs...   Not a dumb guy..

I'm not waiting for any kind of short-term div gains..those days are gone...   I'm watching somebody building a rock solid foundation..

For those of you who may not have been around in the early 90s of the internet (1993+) when millions where being thrown around to grab a piece of the landscape..
Altavista...Excite....Webcrawler...  http://www.wordstream.com/articles/internet-search-engines-history

Now we basically have Google, Yahoo and Bing... What do you use?    Have you checked their stock value lately?  How about the Market Cap of Google?
https://www.google.ca/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=google%20stock%20value

Buying into something in the beginning is a crapshoot.. and if it fails, it fails honestly with lots of hard work behind it, unlike the scams that have come and gone like Neo&Bee.

Gen 4 might be AM's last chance for the brass ring, but for I'm willing to take this bet... better chances than a lottery ticket in my eyes.

Anyone else had the same problem and what can I do to resolve it Smiley

Many thanks

Please submit again following the instructions @:

You are way off.

AMhash is not an umbrella company, it's just a vehicle for selling hardware.

You misread what he said.

Maybe FC and Rockxie want to make ANOTHER umbrella company to send all profits from amhash to?

AMhash is a JV?

And yes, exactly, there's a difference between vertically-integrated firms and umbrella companies (though the distinction is merely technical at times).

Ad maiora!
Yeah that is the confusing part of this. Seems like AM shareholders are getting the shaft so that AM can sell hash rate to new customers. How is AM supposed to turn a profit that will reach thier original backers?
When will we see a financial breakdown of how this is supposed to work? When will we see any financials?
Maybe FC and Rockxie want to make ANOTHER umbrella company to send all profits from amhash to? Why pay investors when you can re sell what you already sold them to someone else?
Please tell me I am way off here and prove me wrong...

I don't see what's supposed to be confusing. AM sell Prismas for 1.39 BTC per Prisma. AM sells AMHash for 1.68 BTC per Prisma. Like I said, AM have sold about 1 million USD worth of AMHash in the past 2 months. Are you saying AM should just self-mine, pay out divs and be underfunded for BE300 production? I don't really understand what you're trying to say.

Jutarul recently said that the financials are being prepared so we should see them soon. As for creating another umbrella company, what umbrella company already exists?
What I'm trying to say is I would like to see some financials so I know where the money is going and don't have to make fatalistic, paranoid guesses based on the negligible info gleaned here. It's frustrating, and has been a frustrating year all round. Seems like anything I have touched has turned to crapola. Oh well, year is almost done.
And thanks btw, honestly. You cleared that up nicely for me. Sorry I ragged out there.

Ultimately they should just sell chips. But who's buying. AMHash? I'd be pretty happy if they self mine for a while. Divs are really sorely missed

Why would AMHash be buying? They are ASICMiner.

I wonder what sort of profit margin AM has after paying for the electric and RM's commission? 1 million is a pretty good amount of cloud mining plus the hosting fees.. I would assume AM has to be approaching cash positive again.

I am sure Rockminer gets a nice cut..my guess anyways.

They said they get commission but I've no idea how much.

I've just been looking at the sales of AMHash. About 3,400 BTC worth have sold so far over the past 2 months, with the vast majority of sales occurring in the past 13 days. That includes those sold directly and on Havelock but not the 0.32 Ph/s that Hashie are selling. Also, the price of the first IPO was 0.00125 BTC which I think sold about 0.3 Ph/s which was then lowered to 0.0012 BTC for the rest of the sales. The figure doesn't take that into account, nor the Christmas bonus hash rate either. That's around 1.1 million USD.  Smiley

I disagree with the idea AM should still be making products for general consumption. PR and marketing are expensive and require high levels of trust and proven competency. We saw the headaches created in the Prisma venture and it doesn't seem to be necessary anymore.   They can avoid shipping, repairs, etc, etc by building the cloud mining and self mining operations and avoid a ton of headaches.  They need to carry through on the immersion tanks filled with Gen 4 chips and get as many new chips mining away as fast as possible to generate the highest potential profit out of each chip. Self mine as they offer to sell the hashs through a few a few main channels. You don't need much marketing or PR to sell potentially profitable hash rates.  Concentrate fully on where you find success in your business is a good rule of thumb and I'd say so far they are doing much better with cloud mining than marketing and manufacturing products.

I agree...  let's not forget leasing, too - another successful, if mysterious, part of the AM story.  I suspect that a lot of the coins coming through:

Are coins produced by leasing arrangements.
