Honest 80s business!
Well, we have to wait for final BE300 chips, that's for sure. But everyone seems to be pretty content with the BE300s sample chips. The performance is spot-on. Back with BE200 people were disappointed with the power consumption. Now everyone likes the chips. Even the competiiton is like "yeah, they're good, alright".
Also, fc didn't want to solo-mine or self-mine anymore (a HUGE mistake!). I hope he deploys 150 PH/s in March. Boom.

Well if the chips do end up being on spec let's hope they stick to selling chips and self mining. I really think they should avoid selling miners to the general public this time. It will be interesting to see if AM can make a competitive chip.

Gotta agree to both of you, BUT: Sure they should sell as many chips as they can but please, in no case simply rely on selling chips - they need to self-mine and also sell cloud mining. The beauty of cloud-mining is that you can just build a large self-mining farm and then sell as much of that hash-rate as you can. Distribute the money you make as divs and/or reinvest!

From past statements, they have lots of cash on hand.  -  statement to the effect: we don't have to worry about selling BTC for $ for a long time  -   I would think that they also have lots of btc on hand by now as well, Mining since July with a goal of 30-40% network.  And of forcing the hands of the competition.  See them dropping like flies?  this should be good news.  The Prismas were a setback, but hopefully a learning experience not to be repeated.  I'm picturing an exahash of cutting edge equipment deployed this spring for our enrichment, just as the btc price explodes - filling our laps with glittering bitcoins.  Sound good?  I like it Grin

When they made those statements, I'm pretty sure they were working off the OLD playbook.  They planned on retaining 33% to cashflow BE300 production and distributing 66% to shareholders.

That never happened because the chips were way off spec.
Then, they bought a bunch of chips that didn't sell out.
And then, they produced a bunch of equipment that didn't sell out.
So, they ended up using their stock to start their own mining & cloud mining operations.

Any business plan that I've ever written:
Plan A is the most profitable and efficient use of all on-hand resources.
Plan B is a little worse, and a little worse.
Plan C sucks pretty hard, but isn't fatal.
Plan D I'm looking for a new vocation.

Ad maiora!
The market moves on little to no information, suggesting inside moves from Bitfountain. This security has done nothing for the public shareholder for over a year but still the share price fluctuates. Someone, if aware, is making a killing shorting the hell outta this stick in the mud.
It ain't me.

I think financials are pretty redundant at this point. I bet FC has invested pretty much every liquid penny into the deployment of gen 4. Would love a heads-up or an ETA on the progress on the final BE300 chip, by the way  Smiley

How are they redundant?

Prior to the BE200 release, the financials showed lots of purchased inventory.  Little cash.  Little bitcoin.
These financials are assumed to show lots of purchased inventory.  Little cash.  Little bitcoin.

I'm assuming that's what HarmonLi meant by it.

But if we get the financials we won't need to assume. It's important for investors to know the position the company is currently in.
I really don't see how it could be redundant

Anyone know how FC&Co vet the platforms before deciding on passthrough options?

AM never ran any of the passthroughs. Burnside ran the passthrough on BTC-TC, DeadTerra ran the one on BitFunder which TAT later took over. TAT also ran the one on Havelock until Havelock took over.

Can you please tell me a bit more about this BTC-TC thing ? Never heard of it before...
Trading platform that was closed over a year ago.

Recent news RE: BTCTC too for further reference: http://www.oregonlive.com/business/index.ssf/2014/12/sec_cracks_down_on_bitcoin_exc.html

Jeez, and that wasn't even the first one.  I was on scam artist Jon Montroll/Ukyo's BitFunder before I noticed BTCTC.  Good thing burnside built such a nice interface for the platform or else I would've prob stuck with BitFucker.  The caveat emptor really stuck with me - I discovered BTC right after the collapse of GLBSE.

I think they can only do their best and do some due diligence. They're kinda experienced, but even they couldn't keep said exchanges form collapsing. It isn't as bad with shares as with BTC, since shares may be returned to the owners when an exchanges goes down.

Hello,

I've been out of this game for quite some time and was wondering how to go about checking my direct shares. I purchased my shares from BTC-TC about a year and a half ago and knew they were converted to direct shares upon the closing of the site.

I would like to transfer my direct shares to Havelock. I am aware of the process of moving them into Havelock, but I am not sure what information (which of my public BTC addresses and email addresses) Asicminer has on record. How would I go about determining what info AM has in their database?

This spreadsheet is "almost" complete for the most recent dividend.  Check the 11/24/2014 tab for your public address that holds your shares.  That will serve as sufficient verification that you actually hold the shares.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uBfB6IoNYzs_JDSZAVOSyaLrZj4eiTe_VfEQCaYXoKQ/edit?usp=sharing

Once that is done, you can follow the instructions on Havelock to transfer them:

Check to see which address has been receiving dividends.

Here's the address they use to send out divs: https://blockchain.info/address/115tTroRo3B9ZDQ6ATJGDCHcNEVbjJoZnF

They used multiple addresses to send out the last div but you should have got several divs after btct closed.

AM payed upfront, or am I wrong here?
I seem to recall they have no debts, at least from last gen.
Plus they promised they have enough BTC to keep going for a long time. Whatever that means.

So. Fried Cat, or par-boiled master of ours, please assauge our fears. Lay some fuckin numbers on us d00d
