AM is worth more than $56,000,000 because AM is about to deploy 60% of the global hash rate and will have a PE of around 5-6. For a startup in a new sector, thats sexy as fuck.

The current dividend delay protest vote being reflected in share price appears to be a significant opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a fraction of the previous risks. People appear to be hanging so tightly onto the previous paradigm that they may be missing what is now relevant.

Bitcoin: The People's Bailout
Im also waiting on shares, and I want to transfer mine to havelock as soon as I get them  Roll Eyes

Huh?  You're waiting on shares?  From who?  I thought you were bearish on AM.  Huh

AM has already peaked. Way to much competition. Its continually falling share price reflects that. At $140 a share (current price), I don't believe this business is worth $56,000,000. Its hard to believe that this business was valued in the hundreds of millions just a few weeks ago. IMO its threshold is .25 BTC a share, and thats assuming BTC doesn't explode in value.

So it's been 8 days and my direct shares haven't been transferred.  How does this normally work?  Is there a place I can submit a support ticket or something?  I'm beginning to get a little impatient...

same here

Yea same as well, it's been about a week for me.

havelock is only growing. TBH, I would see ASICMINER going down before Havelock. Havelock has better margins than AM, not to mention they are taking over nearly their entire marketshare where AM will only slip.

yeah except Havelock runs the bigger legality risk... look at all of the other securities exchanges that AM has outlasted. No way does AM go down before Havelock IMO.

As long as securities are taking Bitcoin investments havelock ain't going anywhere
...said your magic ball?

Havelock stated this themselves but if you really think about it why throw away a good thing when they're making money on the daily? It's a well established exchange

why on god's earth do we want to bother FC right now with this exchange site?

havelock is robust enough that there is literally no reason for FC to even consider a new platform, especially when he's in the middle of a product cycle like gen3.

because it sure wastes him and us more time to ping pong pm/email to transfer shares. FC does not like rent seekers that eventually screw, or he would give all the shares to havelock to manage. Personally I don't see havelock last more than 3 years. Distributed exchange lasts forever, although things might not be as quick as centralized one.

I think, that our Panamanian Havelock is preparing for final run. We as community addressed several security concerns to them months ago, like locked withdrawal address, pgp encrypted mails, fixed time period between change of settings, they always tell you that they care, but true is they don't care, nothing changed.

Better to have counterparty or coloredcoins than this ready to run away centralized fog

what do you mean by final run.
some new security implementation?

He means disappear or close down I assume.

The various exchanges are presumably not altogether satisfactory since friedcat's own blockchain-based exchange managed to move beyond pre-alpha.

I wonder what would happen to AM1 and AM100 if friedcat announced direct support for an exchange.

That post was nearly a year ago... In bitcoin time that is like a decade.  Things have changed.

As everybody seems to be pimping next gen exchanges, i'll suggest open transactions might merit consideration.   Huh

Havelock is a horrible option if compared against a counterparty asset run by FC himself.
