How is that even possible though? There will always be a team developing this so called "system" so even if no one needs to manage it, there will always be a need to trust the developers

This could work via colored coins. The difficulty would be in finding someone trustworthy enough to issue shares. Honestly, it would be easiest if FC would issue the asset and then allow people to transfer their direct shares to colored coins. That way there wouldn't be an additional counter-party.

Havelock is always up and down you just need to be persistent and keep coming back. Hopefully there's not too big a change when it's up and running again
