Can somebody explain what the functionality tests are?
And What's the next?
They are a set of test cases to make sure that the chip indeed accepts the jobs and correctly outputs the corresponding nonces.

The next step is to make a better testing environment (powering, cooling) to know the maximum hashing speed on several voltage levels. (As well as at how low voltage the chip totally stops working and how at how high it explodes)

Congratulations! Must be a relief for you!

Can somebody explain what the functionality tests are?
And What's the next?

1. You design the chips on a computer.
2. You simulate whether they will work, make changes if necessary!
3. Optimize as much as possible, repeat step 1, 2
4. When you're sure the chips will work, you tape-out, i.e. print a physical "mold" that is used to produce the chips. This is incredibly expensive.
5. You produce the circuitry of the chips on silicon. This is somewhat expensive - again, and takes about a month.
6. You package the silicon to actual chips. This takes a week.
- Until now you spend about 6 months or more and 5-7 figure amounts of US$ while you don't know if the chips you produced are going to work at all.
Now we know they do. *popsChampagne*

wow....thanks. That sounds great!

I'll just chime in and say: Yesss!

Forget about the divs. With those news I propose to donate last week's divs to FC and his team for a fun night out in... wherever they're located!

Agreed. The problem appears to be technical as stated but it's gone from slow to full stop for trading presently. I'm trying to buy just to let you know where my concerns lie.  Grin

So that wasn't you who just dropped 18 shares? ^^

No. I'm not in at market just strategic stuff for when emotional trading events like that occur.  Grin

Anyone else seeing what appears to be Havelock locked up on AM trading ATT? Could be the whole exchange experiencing issues but it's so difficult to load on my end I can't tell.

No one panic. I believe it's a technical issue so don't jump to conclusions. I'm experiencing a problem with another site utilizing CloudFlare FWIW.

It has nothing to do with AM. There hasn't been an AM1 trade in hours. The site is lagging like hell currently, yes. But the only trading that has been halted is NEOBEE due to some 'irregular trading activity' (http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/21ml5z/havelock_investmentsneobee_fund_trading_halted/).

It's calm. Everyone's waiting for FC to release a statement. Make up your mind, decide how you think this statement will turn out (gen 3 works/flawed/failed) and position yourself accordingly. But don't necessarily expect an update before monday, the chips need to arrive at AM and also need to be tested first. This is no trading advice whatsoever, but the lack of an announcement right now is basically no sign at all - in my opinion. I wouldn't worry until, say, thursday.

Löl. If you believe I am implying friedcat is doing anything shady, who is in panic then? Cheesy

Read above, chill, and try to use the vacuum between your ears before posting.  Grin

You are the one who expects friedcat to perform the work for you. If you look at the address there is enough for .000065 per share. Based on that dividends are not to be expected and based on friedcast's history there is no reason he would post about something as minor as not paying a dividend that is pennies compared to all the rest.

What else can you be implying if you need fc to state he is not giving out dividends. That implies a lack of confidence and the he is doing something under the table to hurt the shareholders so you want him to give a statement to prove he is not shady. I don't see any other way of reading that but I guess you do.
